"Don't mistake my kindness for weakness, I would die for my family, I would kill for my family, I have killed for my family."
Nani'ite, daughter of the Metkayina Clan's leaders, spent her whole life trying to be the perfect daughter. No...

For the past few days Neteyam had been waking up before sunrise and strictly working on their marui until nightfall. He gathered men from the village willing to work and his father to help get everything done as quickly as possible. Every morning Nani'ite was awoken by a kiss from her mate, and she'd watch him get ready for the day, before drifting back to sleep for a little while longer. Her arm was finally beginning to heal with the help she got from Kiri. Nani did not know how she did it, but her stitches were already coming out and a scar was beginning to form.
Today after breakfast Nani sat on the dock right outside of the Sully home, facing the water as she wove together the jewelry she promised to make. She wanted to take her time on it, and after days of work she was nearly finished, just adding the final touches.
Nani heard footsteps approaching behind her, and she knew who it was without even having to turn around. She recognized those footsteps from anywhere. She smiled as she felt hands softly place themselves onto her shoulders and a whisper.
"What are you doing, my love?" her favorite voice asked softy.
"I am just finishing up this necklace, Teyam." She grinned as his arms draped over her body.
"Still?" He grabbed her hand to stop her work, causing Nani to turn her head to look up at Neteyam.
"Yes, I want it to be perfect. What are you doing here anyways, shouldn't you be working?"
"The marui is all finished, Nani." He grinned.
"Already?!" Nani suddenly sat up straight then put the necklace and tools back into the basket she carried everything in. "How? It has only been a few days."
Neteyam chuckled softly and helped Nani stand on her own two feet, "I got a lot of help from the local men of the village."
"We must go! Let me just put this back inside."
Nani quickly left her basket inside and made her way back out to Neteyam waiting on her. He looked as handsome as ever, she thought. She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head in his chest, "Thank you, thank you, thank you Neteyam."
"You have not even seen it yet, Nani." He chuckled lowly, grabbing her hand with his and began leading the way.
The two walked hand in hand down the village, catching some stares from the local villagers. Everyone knew the news by now, but they had not been out since the incident together. Word spread that Nani would no longer be the next clan leader, and of course people talked. What was she thinking? A forest boy, really? She is with child? Only Eywa knows the reason she would end up with him.
They made their way towards the marui, weaving in and out to get to the home. Nani recognized the familiar path the two had walked many times before, "It is by our private beach?"
"The farthest spot, right on the cusp of the jungle," He squeeze her hand, "just like I said."
Just as the two nearly made it there, Neteyam stood behind Nani and placed his hands over her eyes. "We're almost there."
