Nani'ite awoke to sound of soft rain hitting the ocean and the scent of her lover in the air. She woke up in Neteyam's arms, and for the first time in days he didn't have to be up early to work. Finally, they got to hold one another in their own bed, in their own home, alone together.
Neteyam looked peaceful, his chest rising and falling. One arm wrapped around Nani's shoulder and the other resting above his head. She looked up to admire his beauty. She softly traced the outline of his jaw with her fingertips, then played with the beads in his hair.
She figured it was best to let him get some rest, so she crept out of bed and into the larger part of the marui; starting a fire and grabbing some rainwater to make some tea for the both of them. Just as she finished boiling the tea Neteyam made his way out of the room yawning with bed head and a tired expression.
"Good morning, sleeping beauty." Nani chuckled, pouring tea for the both of them.
"Mhmm, good morning my love." He replied in a deep raspy voice, hugging her from behind and resting his head on her shoulder.
"Here," Nani grinned at her tired mate and handed him some tea, "this will help you wake up."
"Thank you," He said cleared his throat after taking a sip, "Any plans for today?"
"Nothing at all, just time with you." Nani smiled at the thought of doing absolutely nothing with her mate.
"I should go get us some breakfast."
Nani looked out at the rain and back at her lover with a grin, "Please."
Nani'ite was beginning to feel spoiled. She once was so used to doing everything on her own and never asking for help, now having someone to take care of her felt surreal. She sat there sipping her tea, admiring the life she had now; the beauty that unfolded from her once strict and lonely life. Her once stern and tough demeanor changed by a playful and caring man. Her life was changed for the better by the one she loved the most.
Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by footsteps approaching her home. She looked up to see her little sister standing there, with one hand up grasping at the blue necklace Nani had crafted for her.
"Reya!" Nani exclaimed, quickly making her way to her and pulling her into the biggest hug she could give. The two had never been this long apart from one another. Her once annoying golden child sibling now felt like her precious baby sister. Tears began spilling from her eyes, she didn't realize how deeply she missed her.
"I'm so... so sorry I haven't come to... see you Nani." Tsireya cried in her sister's arms.
Nani separated from her sister too look in her eyes, "Do not apologize, Reya. I just, I missed you."
"I missed you!" She smiled up at her with tears in her eyes.
"Where is mother? She doesn't know you've came to see me, does she?"
