Lo'ak was found just shortly after Neteyam told his father. Nani watched from the dock where many villagers had gathered for his return.

"See, he's okay Neteyam, calm down." She whispered over to Neteyam, who was still tense.

"I got this one." Jake Sully said over to Tonowari.

"I will see you tomorrow." Neteyam said lowly to Nani and followed behind his father.

Nani stood by her family as they got after her brother, scolding him for his actions, but watched Neteyam from the distance. He stood in front of his parents.

"Where were you?" Neytiri asked her son.

"Yeah, what happened to keeping an eye on your brother?" His dad said firmly.

"I'm sorry sir." Neteyam said.

He hated disappointing his family, especially his parents. He felt guilty for not being there for his brother, his parents had gotten used to Neteyam always protecting his siblings when they needed him.

The next morning all of the kids were gathered for breakfast, speaking of Lo'ak's adventure from yesterday. Nani and Neteyam didn't have the chance to speak alone yet today, but they glanced at one another every so often, sneaking looks at each other.

"I swear, he was a tulkun out there alone. He saved my life." Lo'ak went on.

"That's not possible," Ao'nung said, "no tulkun is ever alone."

"But this one was, he had a missing fin on the left side."

Nani gasped covering her mouth, immediately exchanging a look with her sister. "Payakan, it's Payakan." Tsireya said with a worried expression.

"Who is Payakan?" Kiri asked.

"He's outcast, a lone tulkun who went rouge. He's a killer." Nani told them.

"He's killed Na'vi, and other tulkun." Ao'nung went on.

"No, he's no killer. I'm telling you guys; he saved my life! He is my friend."

Neteyam laughed to himself and stood up, "My baby bro, the mighty warrior who faced the killer tulkun and lived to tell about it."

Lo'ak pushed him away and stood up from the group, "You guys aren't listening."

"No, Lo'ak, I'm listening!" Tuk rang out as he walked away.

"Way to go," Nani said up to Neteyam, before getting up herself and walking away down to the central part of the village.

"Hey, wait up." She heard from behind her, Neteyam came up from behind her and began walking on the side of her. "No training today?" He asked.

"No, tomorrow we will. At eclipse we're taking you all to the cove of our ancestors." Nani grinned; she loved going out there to their spirit tree. "But hey," she paused walking and turned to him "are you okay? Seemed like your parents we're upset last night."

"I'm okay," he gave her a grin for reassurance, "my parents just need me to keep a better eye out for my brother."

"I hear you," Nani huffed, "somehow Ao'nung being a total skxawng falls back onto me not being a good sister."

"I'm sorry." Neteyam said, placing a hand on her shoulder, Nani noticed the simple gesture and quickly deflected.

"I will see you tomorrow, okay? Bring your siblings to the main dock, half an hour before eclipse, okay?" She looked up at him. He gave her a smile and replied with a head nod.

Nani made her way back home where she found her mother there cleaning up around the place.

"Let me help you, mother." Nani said, grabbing her attention and began helping her mother with chores.

"Oh, sit Nani'ite. You need your hair fixed. Here, come sit my child." Ronal said, taking a seat on the floor.

Nani grinned, sat in front of her mother and let her get to work on her hair. Her mother was a tough woman, but she was still nurturing from time to time. She loved spending time like this with her mom, it was a time for them to exchange stories. To talk about their lives and reminisce on past times they shared.

About 20 minutes pasted by and the pair was still sitting on the floor. Nani's hair was nearly finished when her little sister made her way into the home.

"Tsireya." Their mother said firmly, "Where have you been?"

"I was just out, mother. Looking for Lo'ak, one of Toruk Makto's so-"

"I know who that boy is." her mother glared up at Tsireya as she finished with Nani's hair, "You need to stay clear of those Sully boys. You understand me?"

"Mother, we're supposed to be the ones showing them the wa-"

"I know your duties, Tsireya. When you are not teaching them whatever it is they need to learn then you should be coming home. You have been excused of all other duties. This should be no trouble to you."

"Yes mother." Tsireya said and made her way to her own room.

"Those Sully children, nothing but trouble." Her mom said under her breath and put the final touches of jewelry on Nani's hair.

"Thank you, mother." Nani thanked her mother and excused herself. She knew how her mother felt about the Sully family, and at first, she agreed with her mom. Now that she's truly seen them, she couldn't get behind the idea of not being able to be friends with them. Especially Neteyam.

The next day at eclipse the kids made their way out to the cove of the ancestors. They sat on their Ilu's just above the surface. Nani and Reya we're leading the Sully kids today, the only one who didn't show up was Lo'ak, which Reya was bummed out about.

"This is our spirit tree, our most sacred place." Nani smiled up at the sky, "and eclipse is the best time to come."

Just then the eclipse had begun, and the sunlight was gone. Causing the large tree below them to light up, it was a breathtaking sight. They all swam in deep, towards the leaves of the tree. Nani had signed to them, instructing them to make the bond to the tree. Nani watched as Neteyam grabbed his braid, making the bond to one of the leaves. A smile appeared on his face, he looked so peaceful, she thought. A grin simultaneously appeared on her face.

Suddenly the lights began to flicker like crazy, causing everyone to look around in shock. Nani saw Kiri began shaking, eyes rolling to the back of her head. She swam over as quick as possible, breaking the bond and looked around for help. Neteyam was right behind her, helping swim Kiri above water.

"Come on!!" Neteyam said as soon as he broke the surface.

"Kiri!! What's wrong, what is it?" Tuk yelled out.

"It was a seizure!" Neteyam said, pulling Kiri on top of one of the Ilu's. Neteyam began to pump air back into her lungs, and after a couple attempts, she spat up water but did not awake.

"Get her to the village!" Nani said, hopping onto her Ilu swiftly.

"Let's go! Let's go!" Neteyam said quickly riding off, holding Kiri as he made his way back to land.
