Stefan came in time to grab him by the waist and throwing him off me. "Hey dick head." Damon smirked with the broken mop in hand. "Nobody wants to kill you. We just want to talk.""Speak for yourself, I want to stake him up his a—" He glared at me and tried to jump on me. I screamed and hid behind Stefan. Damon threw the broken mop to Stefan who caught it and stabbed the man in the stomach.
He fell to his knees before Stefan, and I was so close to dancing. "Here." Damon handed me my wand. "Don't lose it, we don't know where they sell this."
Stefan took out the stick, "Now you feel like talking?" The man laughed and shook his head. Steff didn't like that, so he shoved the stick back into his stomach this time was a little higher, closer to his heart. "Wrong answer. Why are you doing this?"
The man gave them a smug look. Damon didn't like that answer either, "because it's fun." This time I wanted to cast a spell and make him scream a little more, you know, speed up the process.
Stacking him once again, Stefan made the man grunt and scream in pain. "What do you want with the girls?"
"Nothing much. She looks pretty when riled up." He looked at me, blood trickling down the side of his mouth. His gaze flicked to Elena, and he tilted his head, "She looks like Katherine." Stefan and Damon exchanged looks then turned to the man.
They seemed confused as to how he knew their ex. "You knew Katherine?" I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.
"She must be getting around, so many men know her." I said without thinking. Damon didn't say anything, didn't look at me either, but Stefan stifled a laugh but tried to keep his composure.
"Tell me how to get in the tomb." Damon leaned down and rested his hands on his knees. The man shook his head.
"The Grimoire." They continued to interrogate him. With each question not answered he got staked each time more painful than the last. "Check the journal. The journal. Jonathan Gilberts journal." Stefan asked who he was working with, but he kept quiet about it, he was loyal to his last breath. Stefan staked him in the heart, and we watched him fall gray and veiny in the cafeteria floor.
"It's sad to see a good-looking guy like him go." I clicked my tongue and walked away. I took Elena's arm and lead her away from the three men.
I took her home, Jenna wasn't back yet, neither was Jeremy so I stayed with her till Stefan could come pick her up. She showered while I changed into the outfit I had left from before we changed into our dance clothes. I was gone the second Stefan came to get Elena. I just walked home, mu hand clutching my wand all the way until I got to my room.
Once I got into my room, I let my shoulders fall. I walked to my closet and looked for a long simple shirt and a pain of underwear. I usually don't wear something so small to sleep in, but Caroline had taken a liking to sneaking out my underwear and shoving a bunch of tiny kinky clothes inside my drawers.
I took a quick shower and changed in the bathroom until I was only brushing my hair. "I like you better like this." I snatched a towel of my chair and covered my legs. "Oh, please. Like you've never been seen naked before."
When I didn't reply with a snark comment he frowned and walked over to me. "What do you want, Damon?"
"No, answer me first. Have you been seen naked?" I glared at him but kept my distance. "Are you a virgin, Little Witch?"
"Get out." I sneered throwing my brush at him. He only moved his head to dodge, and he rolled his eyes. "Seriously, what do you want?"
"I need your help looking for the grimoire." He shrugged and took a seat at the end of my bed. "This is nicer than I remember."
My eyes widened, "what the hell do you mean by that? When did you come in here?" I whispered harshly. I used the towel to smack him with it.
"Sto—stop it!" He ripped it from my hands and threw it behind him on my pillows. Damon's eyes went from giving me a stern look to staring at my legs. Nothing was covering them, even the long white shirt I was wearing only reached the middle of my thigh. I held the hem of it and tried to pull it down lower. "There's nothing wrong with being a vir—"
"Do you want my help or not?" he raised his arms in surrender. "How do I help you, and how long does it take? I want you out of here as soon as I can I had a long night. I didn't think torturing a vampire and being attacked twice in one night would be so exhausting. Not that I ever thought that I would be able to ever do something like that."
"Okay, that was a lot. Anyway, I need your help getting Emily Bennett's old which cookbook." He smiled clasped his hands together and waited patiently for me to do my—literal—magic.
"Close your eyes." I said crossing my arms. His brows met in the middle confused, but when I began to tap my foot for him to hurry, he sarcastically smiled and used both his hands to cover his sight. I walked forward and waved a hand to see if he could see it. When he didn't react, I dropped my hand and walked to the side of my bed and kneeled to the ground and reached under my bed to grab my grimoire.
When I stood back up with a smile on my face. I turned to where Damon was sitting or was sitting. He wasn't there anymore. I stood up and looked around my room. Turning on my foot I saw he was standing behind me with a smirk. I used my Grimoire to hit him on the shoulder as hard as I could.
"Temptation was too much." He laughed sitting back down. And I jumped on my bed with my wand on my other hand. Damon took the book into his lap and flipped through the pages. "What is all of this?"
I scratched my brow frustrated and tired. "My cookbook, as you like to call it. It's just a little more advanced than what you would normally see from today's witches and in general of the ones you know. I use a wand to cast spells and charms. Every spell has its own routine I have to wave the stupid wand in a specific way." He handed me the grimoire and watched me as I flipped through the pages. I landed on a summoning charm, Accio. "It sucks that I'm the only witch of my kind, that there is no one else who can help me learn about my origins."
Keeping his mouth shut he watched me take my wand and wave it in the air. The tip of the stick glowed as I chanted 'Accio, Emily's Grimoire'. "So? What now?" I waited for a second, but the book never came.
"It didn't work. Something is keeping it from coming." I sighed and rubbed my eye. I reached my limit, I fell back into my pillows and tossed my arms up. This time when my shirt rose, I didn't rush to pull it down. I was too exhausted.
"If Stefan and Elena help me look for the journal, will you help me too." I lifted only my head to look at him with a raised brow. Damon sighed before crawling up the bed and lying beside me. "I don't trust them, not even my own brother."
He rested an arm under his head, he watched me lie on the bed. My heart wouldn't stop, no matter how much I scolded. I cleared my throat and pretended to not be affected by his warm body. Damon's black button up had raised and showed up to his belly button, a thin trail of dark hair decorated from his button down leading to hidden treasures.
"I wouldn't trust them either." Damon must have not expected me to say that because he lifted his head and peeked an eye to look at my face. "They want you gone, but don't want to open the tomb. It's a dilemma. You could say they finally chose you over other choices."
"Doesn't matter. I'm going to open the tomb and get Katherine out of there. The sooner the better." I got up.
My heart dropped to my stomach, and it hurt more than I imagined. "Get out." I whispered and picked up my wand and grimoire. I prayed he couldn't hear my heart beating painfully. Why was I acting like this? "You've overstayed your welcome, please leave so that I don't have to forcefully move you out of my home."
"We were just having a nice conversation, and you had to ruin it." Damon got up, fixed his shirt but I could lift my eyes from the same place on the floor. "I'll see you tomorrow, Little Witch." He shot me a tight smile and shut my bedroom door.
