"I told Caroline about me being a witch." Elena's jaw dropped and turned to me. "I couldn't keep lying to her, and everyone else on top of that." I rubbed my arms feeling the cool air come in from her window.

I followed Elena to her bathroom where she was still styling her hair for the decade dance. My hair was done, and I was dressed, ready to regret getting up this morning. "What did she say?" I shrugged sitting on the covered toilet seat.

"You know, the usual, made a joke thinking I was pranking her like you and Bonnie did. Then I made a piece of paper float and she laughed." I sighed playing with the ends of my hair. "Hey, is there any more pizza left?"

Taking in a deep breath she shook her head, "No, Jeremy ate most of it. I should have ordered more."

Nodding I teased, "Yes, you should have." She turned on the dryer and pointed it at me playfully. "I'll meet you downstairs." I got up and walked out of her room, I was about to go down the stairs when I heard a thumb from the kitchen. "Elena, are you sure you were home alone when I got here?"

"Yeah," She called out and came to meet me in the hall. "Why?" We both turned to a ticking that came from her room, the compass was going crazy on her bed. She rushed to her bed and picked up her phone to call someone. I took the compass from her bed and rushed down to the living room. Elena was on my heels following me with the phone to her ear.

"Stefan's phone. How may I help you?"

"Where is he?" She asked into the phone. She froze and I turned to her. "Oh. Thank God." The look of relief on her face told me Stefan was close. "This compass was spinning. Thank you."

"What did he say?" I asked stepping towards her.

She slipped her cell into her back pocket, "It was Damon, Stefan forgot his phone but said he's on his way."

"Oh, alright." I felt weird just hearing Damon's name. I don't know if I'll be able to face him again. I haven't been able to sort out my feelings for him.

"I need to get my earrings and then we can go. I'll go get them." I gave her a thumbs up, I watched her turn to run up the stairs when something fell behind me. Two hands grabbed me before I could react. All I felt was pain on my shoulder.

"Hangelina!" Two voices called out my name as I was attacked. Stefan had rushed inside and pulled off the vampire. The man screamed and ran out the back of the house. My head was throbbing, and I couldn't focus.

"It seems vampires just love to throw me around and manhandle me!" I cried out frustrated. My hair was ruined, and I just know Caroline will give me shit if I don't fix it before the dance.

Stefan pulled me into a hug, which was then broken by Elena that wanted to make sure I was okay. Soon she pulled me into a tight hug that had me whimpering from the bite on my shoulder.

Damon was called over, and I was sat on the couch till he arrived. Elena helped fix my hair while Stefan sat beside me comforting me. I kept telling them that I was fine, but I guess I wasn't the best liar. Although, I suppose it would be difficult for them to believe me with tears rolling down my face.

Not bothering to knock, Damon walked in and sat across from me. I avoided looking at him and he hummed with a tight smile. "Well, how did he get in?" He glared at Elena, since it's her house.

"He posed as a pizza delivery guy last night." Stefan answered looking at his brother while messing with his daylight ring anxiously.

"Well, he gets points for that. Did he say what he wants?" Damon asked getting up and walking up by the couch directly behind me. Elena had finished and sat on my other side holding my hand in hers, she rubbed gentle circles on my skin just like I had done to my sister the day before. It feels nice, it's keeping me grounded so I stopped thinking of the man.

"He was too busy trying to kill me, we didn't have time to sit and chat over a cup of tea." I smiled at Damon. He sighed, knowing I was annoyed with his dumb questions.

"You have no idea who this is?" Stefan asked Damon, but when Damon shook his head, he received a glare.

Returning the glare, Damon snapped at him, "Don't look at me like that. I told you we had company.

"You guys knew?" I looked up surprised.

Elena stopped rubbing my skin and exhaled. "Last night, when I left the Grill, I got an unknown call. It was him, the vampire we ran into the day we went to Georgia. This morning I told Stefan and Damon."

"You think there's more than one?" I asked Damon, finally looking at him. "What the hell do they want with me and Elena?"

"Damon... he was invited in." I rolled my eyes at Stefan. He was being dramatic.

"Then we go get him tonight." He looked to Elena. "You up for it?" She shrugged and asked for what she have to do. "Let your boyfriend take you to the dance. We'll see who shows up. Till we get him this house isn't safe. For anyone who lives in it. It's worth a shot." His head turned to me. "You, too."

"I don't have a vamp boyfriend, unfortunately I'm at a disadvantage."

"Sure, you do. At least for tonight. Both Stefan and I will be there for the two of you. We'll keep you safe.

Stefan was quiet giving Elena a silent plead to say no, but Elena wanted that man gone as much as I did. "I'll be with the two of you. I'll be safe."
