Rolling over on my back I smiled up at my phone screen as I bring it up high to my face. I had gotten home soon after we left the Grill.
Elena rushed home and had been upset the entire ride there. I only lived a few blocks from her place, so I walked fast paced to avoid any run ins with Jeremy, and from what happened this morning, that Elena had told me, I did not want to see Vicki with him. Or at all.
I was going to head to sleep, but the buzzing of my phone bothered me too much even when I was ignoring it. The sound of the vibration was so loud it made my head pound. But now that I am seeing Elena's message I grinned to myself.
Elena: Jeremy helped Stefan make me dinner.
Elena: My brother tricked me into going into the kitchen and getting something to eat when I saw Stefan cooking. His exact words I believe 'if you're going to dump me, you should at least know who you're dumping'
My face hurt for smiling so hard. I'm so happy for her. I press around the keyboard of my cell texting her back.
Me: That's great, maybe you get laid... *winky face*
Me: Also, that HOT.
Elena: Alright gtg, I'm going to help him cook.
I toss my phone on to my side and get up to brush my hair. Caroline's voice seeped through the walls, I could hear her clearly as I sat at my vanity and began to brush my hair. I tried my best to ignore her loud cheerful voice, she is clearly talking on the phone.
A squawk snaps my head to my window. I hadn't left it open, so mom must have come in here. I see a crow his head peeking in.
"Well, hello there, Peeping Tom. Welcome." I smile and motion my head to my room sarcastically. Suddenly it flew into my room. My eyes darted following it, until it flew around and then back out. "What the hell?" I stood up and shooed out the window and slammed it closed when it was gone.
"Hangelina..." I jumped at my name being called. Slowly I turned to where my closet was grabbing a glass perfume bottle as a weapon. They call my name again this time louder. Slowly I make my way over the lamp in my room barely lighting up the clothes that showed.
I jumped at the loud bang of my door hitting the wall. Caroline was staring at me with a smile. "Time to pick a swimsuit!" She bounces into my room and places a dozen two pieces on my bed.
Quickly I close the closet door and turn to her with a sigh, my breath had fastened, and my heart was beating out of my chest. I was just noticing. "Care, you said just two. This is too many, pick two or I'm not going." Crossing my arms over my chest her gaze lands on the bottle in my hand and quirks a brow.
"What are you doing with that?" I toss it on the bed telling her it's nothing. She hands me a two piece and rushed me to the bathroom. "Come on, you never play dress up with me-"
"Because it is not my thing!" I groan exasperated throwing the flimsy fabric. By the time we, more like me, were done it was 2am. I had to kick out Caroline and told her to take all her shit and let me sleep. She cursed me out saying that there were two left and I better have chosen between them before the fundraiser tomorrow.
If it wasn't for the sun beaming at me from my window, Caroline would have definitely thrown a bucket of water on my head in order to wake me up. There were two bathing suits at the end of my bed just like Caroline had said she would leave them. There both of them could be paired with flatform sandals. Not caring which I put on I pick up the green one just because I know my sister won't say anything if I do as she says.
