"You never fail to amaze me with your countless talents, Moons." Claudette Zabini complimented me with a big warming smile.

Her features were so similar to Blaise -- Stunning high cheek bones, striking brown eyes that held so much behind them, smooth dark brown skin -- Tying it all together, they're the most beautiful people that I have ever met.

Blaise rolled his eyes while Claudette fawned over me, wrapping her hands around my shoulders and pulling me into a short embrace.
The new engagement ring that she wore was cold against my skin and quite large.

The smell of her expensive perfume rolled inside of my nostrils. From a young age I've studied everything about Claudette Zabini, from her demeanor down to the old fashion channel shoes she wore on Saturday's.

"Amos, your beyond lucky to have such a intelligent daughter." She turned to face my father while taking an sip from her cranberry flavored champagne. "And not to mention that she's got a hand full of beauty."

"Beauty's not long lasting Claudette.." My father released a irritated breath. The amount of times that I've heard those words are a bit uncountable, my dad enjoys overly expressing his big feelings about me flaunting my beauty.

Conversation buzzed throughout the home, being down played by classical violin playing.
Most of our guess seem to be here and it isn't even fifteen minutes in. Looking around, they all wore dark toned attire and pricey looking
jewelry but I knew that was purposeful.

If not the champagne and wine, these people were going to get drunk on arrogance tonight.
I'm sure that my father would much rather be greeting them all but ever since the gates of our
home opened Claudette's been holding us here.

"Rebekah doesn't need beauty." She slyly speaks with an smirk. "I've taught her to play her cards correctly."

The way that my father suddenly glared at Claudette makes me smirk. Although he did have a lot of respect for Mrs Zabini, just like every wealthy man in the Wizarding world my dad batted a eye to her ways. But I admire her antics and the disappearance of her husbands.

"And I bet that you have, Claudette."

I don't take kindness to my fathers little sarcastic comment, my eyes rolled to the side of my head to eye him. "Now excuse me, I have to greet my guest that I do not see every week."

A humorless laugh left my lips while I watch my father storm away from us, Mrs Zabini not wasting an moment before trailing behind him. Blaise let out a deep sigh, shaking his head and turning to face the other direction.
