My hand was lifted right above my eyes, blocking the warm sun from getting in them. Slowly, I look over to Jennifer when I realize that she's talking to me and probably has been for a while from her tone of voice."-- Honestly, when Zack told us that he was good at Qudditch, I didn't believe him at all."
Jennifer sarcastically complimented,The boys dragged us to the Qudditch filed, forcing the two of us to sit in the benches like groupies as they practiced. March was almost here, which meant spring was almost here and the daylight sun was letting us know that.
Perhaps if it weren't so hot, I'd be happy to support my friends in their sport. But not to my liking, the grass was getting drier with each second that passed by. Moving forward, upon seeing my cousins talent, Urquhart, allowed him too fill up a slot on their Qudditch roster. If I had to guess, I'd say that he was our seeker.
I assumed that he'd playing well from how Jennifer was talking -- I wasn't really paying much attention to the Slytherin's. There'd been some type of mix up that happens every year, when Snape and Mcgonagal scheduled their house teams to practice at the same time and unless they wanted to miss practice time,
Slytherin and Gryffindor had to split the Qudditch filed down the middle and simply just deal with it. Jennifer eyes were on our friends but mines couldn't tear away from Gryffindor's keeper.
"Exactly how long as he been playing?" Jennifer fawned, looking at me suspiciously. Perhaps I was acting a bit nonchalant with her but it's only because she was with me.
This was awkward, no matter how how Jennifer tried acting like it wasn't. We haven't hung out alone since that day in the great hall, and these days we barely talk. Like i previously said, she's always looking at me oddly.
I shrugged, "Maybe a few years."
My eyes turned back to the left side of the Qudditch filed. Ginny Weasley knocks an quaffle in the direction of her brother, which Ron disappointingly misses. His freckled face turns red and his eyes glanced too where I sat. An feeble laugh left my lips, thinking that his embarrassment was a little cute.
"What's funny..?" Jennifer questioned, repeating herself when I don't answer.
Ron's eyes remained on mine and he doesn't even notice that his sister was sending another quaffle in his direction. My lower lip goes in between his teeth, which only seems to make the shade on his face redder.
I gestured my head in her way, not wanting him to get injured. His eyebrows shot up in confusion, tilting my head again. He finally looks over but the quaffle is already there and almost knocks him off his broom.
A smile raised on lips, "Nothing."
"Yeah well, Slytherin's playing over here Moons..." Jennifer mumbled sarcastically. Immediately, my smile dropped and I turned to face the direction of my house members.
The boys Qudditch practice carried on for another thirty minutes and despite my groaning and complaints from the heats, Jennifer forced me to stay the entire time.
Leaving me to listen as she praised Blaise for everything little thing that he did.I'd been more than happy to get off of the bleachers when the Slytherin's started walking off of the field. Especially since Gryffindor ended their practice about fifteen minutes ago, and I had nothing to keep me entertained.
"How much longer are they going to take?" I complained with a frown. My eyes flicker down to the watch around my wrist, I still need time to study for the astronomy quiz before dinner.
Jennifer and me have been standing outside of the locker room for far to long.
