Nine thirty-seven -- There was still fifty-three minutes until I was able to return back to my dorm and go to sleep. Time seemed to move annoyingly slow when I'm somewhere that I'd rather not be -- isn't that extremely ironic.Another loud irritated sigh left my lips as I looked up from the white watch around my wrist and back at the stars. There are a million things that I could be doing right now. Fixing all of my assignments that I doubted, reading that book about celestial signs that I got from Professor Sinstra or better yet sleeping.
But against my own will I was sitting in the middle of a corridor with my back facing the most trifling pureblood. Since my arrival Ron has not said a word to me and I'm thankful for that and hope that he continues that.
What pissed me off most about this entire watching was that we had absolutely nothing to do, they just expected us to sit here until ten thirty or some imaginary death eater got into Hogwarts ground undetected.
They never take into consideration that majority of the death eaters that have snuck into our school has posed as one of us until Potter came to his senses. Ever since the first Wizarding war there has not been any death eaters that were not disguised that snuck in.
Dumbledore and his professors didn't think logically and if it's the ministry of Magic that ordered for there to be prefect watchers, they for sure wasn't thinking. I am not saying that they should make everybody yank up their sleeves, but I do think that'll make this a little easier.
Sighing again I began picking at the newly white paint on my nails. I wondered just how long Mcgonagal was going to try and keep this entire thing up. No matter how hard she tries I will never bond with Ron and don't doubt she'll see that and when she does, I hope this stops.
"I don't see what your so irritated for... Moons." When Ron speaks, I loudly sigh, rolling my eyes before turning to face him. "This is your doing that has got us here in the first place. I could be sleeping and preparing for Quidditch tryout's tomorrow."
He was leaned against the stone wall with a glare that irritated me, his sleeves were rolled up and his hands were folded over his chest. Ron's saggy hair was all over the place, and it bothered me because no one that I surround myself around looked so untamed.
"If getting technical, this is all your fault because you couldn't defend yourself in a defensive class. Which I don't understand being that everybody was commending you and your friends for beating Voldemort at the Department of Minist--"
"Why would you say his name?" Ron questioned loudly like it was the most forbidden thing to say. I almost forgot that some were pathetically raised that saying his name can summon him.
I have said his name ever since my father taught me about him and he's yet to pop up and kill me. Something's people are way too old to believe and that's one of them. Mockingly I placed my hand over my lips, suggesting that we be quiet. "You know who, if that makes you feel that much better. Allow me to continue what I was about to you say."
"So, you and your friends battled Voldemo-- him last year at the Ministry of Magic and truthfully I've been wondering how you all managed to pull that off." The only spell that Harry seemed to know was expelliarmus and that couldn't exactly do that much.
I would never admit it out loud but the only Gryffindor who may have the skills to battle Voldemort was Hermione Granger. But from the daily prophet it made it seem like they all played a very big part in the battle.
"Wow that's amazing, something that you finally don't know and cannot smart mouth anyone about." Ron teasingly spoke out with growing smirk on his lips. "Allow me to let this this moment sinks all the way in."
