Snow trickled from the night sky, landing on top of my nose and covering the green grass.
Some way along the walk to my backyard, Ron's hand slipped inside of mine but I didn't mind because he felt warm.

I'm thankful for the fact he's not arguing or questioning me about where I'm taking him. My own mind hasn't even processed when I'm bringing him out here yet.

"Is it just you and your dad in this house?" When Ron questioned me I sighed deeply. Well, I think I would rather have him question me about where I am taking him then ask me about my father and house. "Because from the looks of it, your mother doesn't live here."

My grip on him tightened. "Ron.. Have you ever heard me talk about having a mother? Exactly and that's because I don't have one."

He doesn't mention anything else about it, continuing are walking the sound of leaves crushing filled the air. I'm glad that my mother didn't decide to make her yearly appearance during the Christmas party tonight.

Rolling my tongue inside of my cheeks, my eyes slightly light up when they landed on the small cottage in front of me.

In the back of my fathers chateau, was a smaller house that he had built for me on my thirteenth birthday. He said that he believes teenage girls need more privacy -- A nice way of him saying that he didn't want me around when I began my period.

The cottage was painted vanilla, to match the color of the chateau. Scattered in front of it was a verity of plants that I planted before going off to Hogwarts, luckily the house elf kept up with it just like I asked before leaving.

A sarcastic dry laugh behind me has me looking over my shoulders, "Just when I thought your home couldn't have gotten anymore richer."

"Whatever."

I brushed him off, dragging him to the entrance of the small home. In a way it was built like an guest house, expect for the only guest we have stay over night were my friends. And despite my fathers liking, they slept in my room or the room beside it.

Pushing the door open the soft scent of Jasmine trapped my nostrils. Although the home was bland on the outside, the inside was painted with different colors.

I had a entire wall dedicated to Qudditch, a very old sighed picture of Viktor Krum. A signed jersey from Darren O'hqre, and many things from the Ballycastle bats.

On the wall beside it was drawings that resembled distorted flowers and characters, and a blue mural cluttered my walls.

A long wooden bookshelf stands tall in the corner of my room, but most of the books were just scrap books and journals I've filled up from the previous years. Maybe only ten items up there that was actual books.

Even though the house only had really had living room and a bathroom I still enjoyed it. When my father gets very sick I come live here until he's a little better, I don't ever want to be inside of the house and he ends up dying.

"I'm surprised Nott isn't glued to your side.." Ron speaks from across the room, lifting up a framed picture of Theo and me. "Did you not give him an invitation?"

"Trust me, I did.. something came up and Theodore wasn't able to make it." Truthfully, I had no idea where Theodore was but I wasn't going to let Ron get a upper hand.

Ron's eyebrows raise sarcastically and I processed that he's jealous. I watched as Ron continued examining all my pictures that's framed, all of which contained Theodore.
