grocery shopping has never been fun, especially when you're the kind of person who likes to grab enough food to last about 3 months so you don't have to end up in the store every week.

but you still do.

and that's me. I grab over nearly $300 worth of things such as things for actual meals and frozen dinners because we don't all have the time to healthy bitches. sometimes a good frozen dinner can satisfy.

I don't like eating out much or ordering food, only unless I'm on lunch at work and didn't bring anything. I live alone in a studio apartment with my dog. I don't make enough money to eat out every night, but I save enough to get a shit ton of groceries every 3 months.

headphones cover my ears. safe? nope. do I care? not really.

I bob my head as I look through the fruits and vegetables, looking at what's good and what's not, being picky on which ones I want. I pick up a case of strawberries, look around it to make sure none have mold and none are squished.

I don't like fruits if they are a little bit mushy, the textures just don't mix well with me.

still looking at the variety of fruits and vegetables, I decide on some mango as the last fruit I'll grab. my stroll around the store is slow as I walk down all the isles, looking at everything on the shelves.

I walk down the chips isle, hearing a commotion that I pay no attention to.

"Nick go long!"

I'm standing on my tippy toes reaching for a bag when someone backs into me, knocking me down. my headphones flying off in the collision.

"oh god! I am so sorry! I didn't see you there, are you okay!?" the person rushes out.

he holds his hand out to help me up and I gratefully take a hold of it. "it's okay and thank you."

I bend down to pick up my headphones that fell before looking back at the guy who ran into me.

"you sure you're okay?" he asks. he has long black hair and light colored eyes.

"yeah, yeah I'm good."

I look over his shoulder and meet eyes with a familiar someone.

"oh hey, jolly." I give him a smile.

"hey. Kennedy, right?" he asks with a smile.

"yeah, how've you been?"

"I've been good, how about you?"

"I've been good as well. how's preparation with the tour? y'all are leaving in a few weeks right?"

"yeah, it's good but crazy, too much shit to set up and figure out."

"I can see that. hard work pays off though, I'm sure you guys will have a lot of fun."

I look at the other two boys with him, not knowing who they are.

"oh yeah, this is Nick and folio. his name is also Nick but we call him folio. they're a part of the band."

"ah well hi boys, I'm Kennedy."

"again, I'm really sorry."

"it's all good, I promise." I give him a smile.

I don't question it when I don't see Noah, a part of me is slightly relieved but the other is bummed.

"alrighty, well it was nice seeing you jolly and it was nice meeting you both," I gesture to both nicks. "but I have to get back to my starving dog at home and feed him. enjoy the rest of y'alls day. bye guys."

I grab the bag of chips and put them in my cart.

"bye Kennedy!" all three of them say.

I check out of the store and take my bags to my car before putting everything inside and leaving the parking lot.

the cold AC blows on my hot skin, pierce the veil on the radio and I'm soaking in the the LA sun. it's a nice drive home, not much traffic surprisingly and it's about 15 minutes til I get home. 5 minutes faster than usual, which is nice.

"OZZI! want your food?" I ask carrying his food in the door. he immediately comes running out of my room and into the kitchen.

he dances around my feet as I try to prepare his food.

"ozzi, go sit bub." I say holding his bowl.

I place it down and he immediately starts to eat.

after feeding him I go back to my car to collect the rest of my groceries.

the rest of the day after that was spent watching Tv and cooking diner before going to bed. it was a semi busy day, but it was nice none the less.
