Devale's POV

I walked outside an suddenly I was greeted by Eli. My initial thought was to rock his shit but i remained calm because I needed answers. So approached him.
Eli: Devaleeee
D: nigga don't try to be cool with me
Eli: D what are you talking about man
D: don't play stupid i know nigga
Eli: about
D: so you really gone sit here an act like you ain't been fucking my wife (getting loud)
Eli: look man I'm sorry
D: sorry? 15 years of friendship and all you can say is sorry you know what man fuck you
Eli: D I don't know man it just sort of happened you were away she was lonely type shit
D: so you just think it's okay that you've been fucking my wife
Eli: no that's not what I'm tryna say and you know that
D: I'm really trying to keep my cool an not deck the shit out of you
Eli: I'm not finna do this with you
D: so you just gone walk away from ME like I'm the one in the wrong that's cool bro
Eli: I'm gonna let you cool down you are obviously not in the right head space to talk so I'm just gonna go check on Khadeen that's the only reason I flew out anyways
D: bro alright... let me just walk away

I couldn't believe that this nigga had the audacity to ever try and play me like that. I was fuming every time I tried to calm myself down something appeared in my memory that made me more an more angrier. That was until I felt a tap appear on my shoulder.

Crystal's pov

Me and the cast members arrive back to the hotel. The rest of them were pretty drunk while I was just a little tipsy. I had a good time but it was a part of me that was missing Devale. I got out of the sprinter and heard commotion. Everybody else was too far gone to even notice that the voice sounded familiar. On the way to the lobby I saw Devale failing to calm himself down outside by the fountain. So I walked over to see what was wrong. Lightly I tapped on his shoulder he turned around as if he was startled.

C: oh I didn't mean to scare you
D: oh you good
C: are you ?
D: yea I'm fine
C: stop lying
D: how do you know I'm lying
C: for one I can see anger all in your eyes and whatever or whoever that was that just walked away from you didn't sound to good
D: yea it wasn't
C: wanna talk about it
D: I mean ...
C: if you don't that's fine but you do need to calm down
D: (silence)
C: okay I got you follow me

I knew something was wrong and I understood that he didn't want to relay details to me but as a friend I wanted to make sure he was okay. Therefore, I knew he needed to calm down. So I took him to the once place that brings me peace.

D: yo what are we doing by the pool it's mad late
C: can you just sit down and hush
D: fine
C: look at me ..
D: (looking past her)
C: no look at me not anything I need you to focus
Finally he gave into my instruction and looked at me
C: now take long deep breaths
D: crystal how is th-
C: shhhhh be quiet an just do it damn so hard headed. Now close your eyes listen to the water and the nature sounds and just breathe. Clear your mind.

Devale's POV

I don't know what kind of exercise Crystal was putting me through but it was working. With each breath I felt more and more stress leaving me. She wasn't a lie the water really helped.

C: so do you feel a little bit better now
D: yes a little bit I'm calmer than I was
C: see I told you the water works
D: yea you sure did
C: so are you ready to talk
D: I don't want to go into much detail about it now bu-
C: okay that's fine say no more (interrupting Devale) you speak when you're ready no pressure
D: thank you
C: for what?
D: just for being here you know like calming me down making sure I was alright despite...
C: despite everything that's been going on between us I know. Listen it's all good now all of that is behind us now remember I've always been your friend first

That's why I loved her so much. She was understanding , loving, and caring. All the things Khadeen couldn't get quite right. Even though I had been a total ass to Crystal she still treated me with respect and I loved her for that. Time progressed an Crystal and I had been sitting by the pool for at leave a hour an a half. Just talking I could tell she was trying to distract me from everything that happened. I didn't tell her everything because I just wasn't ready to but I gave her the surface of everything that went on. Enough to know that I didn't want to see, talk, or breathe the same air as Khadeen.

Crystals Pov

Catching up with Devale felt amazing. It's like that's the piece that's been missing from my life. It was getting later and the liquor was catching up with me.

C: well it's getting late we should probably get to bed
D: yea you right imma get me a separate room for tonight because I don't want to see her no more tonight
C: another room? Why not just stay in the room with me.
D: I don't think that a good idea
C: why- ohhhhh boy pls it's not like that I have to two beds in my room so we'll be separate.
D: Crys....
C: don't be stubborn now and it's award show weekend they are probably booked up. I'm not gonna ask again
D: okay fine you so bossy
C: I'm not my feet just hurt in these shoes and you was taking too long being indecisive an shit
D: you want me to carry you?
C: boundaries
D: okay shit my bad
C: boy come on
D: seeee bossy

We laughed all the way to my room. I knew that right now Devale didn't need lover Crys but best friend Crys. The night went smoothly everything was going good until...
