01: False Knowledge

"Humihinga pa ba si Miss Avar? Mukhang pinuruhan mo, Ace, ah."

"She's breathing. For all we know, she'll wake up soon."

"I don't think she has pouvoir, Dad. She doesn't look like someone who can cause havoc in Mortal World."

"I can sense power and authority around her, but you're right. She isn't someone with pouvoir. There is no magic in her."

"Pero tamang babae naman ang kinuha natin, hindi ba? Siya ang nasa report na minamanmanan ng isang Pouvoirer na napansin niyang may kakaibang kapangyarihan?"

Someone sighed. "I'm certain she is."

I tried to tune out the voices but they're so near and almost overwhelming my senses. My heightened hearing sense can't just ignore their hushed voices. Plus my wolf was restless.

I groaned. Ang sakit ng ulo ko.

"She's waking up. Get her a glass of water," boses ni Sir Ash.

"Does your head hurt?" tanong niya sa akin.

I opened my eyes and stared at him. Kasama niya ulit ang dalawang kasama niya rin noong atakehin ako sa bar.

"What do you want?" I croaked out.

"Nothing, really. Here, water." Sabag abot sa akin ng isang basong tubig.

Pagkatapos inumin iyon ay nilingon ko ulit sila.

"You took me. I'm sure you have your reasons," ani ko.

"It's just too dangerous for you to live in Mortal World when you're not fit to be there," si Sir Ash.

I narrowed my gaze at him. "Who are you to tell me that?"

"You're not an ordinary human, are you? Hindi ka makakapasok sa Magic World kung oo. Our air is different from Mortal World's," ani pa niya.

Hindi ko masundan ang kan'yang sinabi kaya hindi ko maiwasang malito.

"Magic World?" nagtataka kong tanong.

I am familiar with the word, but it was just a children story. A myth believed from centuries ago. Hindi naman sa sinasarado ko ang aking isipan sa posibilidad na nag-e-exist nga ang ibang mundo dahil nag-e-exist nga ring kaming hybrids, but we have never encountered anyone from the said world to believe that they actually exist.

"Magic World, a world full of magic?" patanong na paliwanag ni Sir Ash. He sighed. "Naalala ko tuloy noong unang araw din ng asawa ko rito. Hindi niya rin alam ang Magic World and we had a hard time explaining her who and what we are."

"We are Pouvoirers, Miss Avar," sabad ni Sir Acieve. "We call our magic pouvoirs."

Ayaw ko ulit maniwala pero ano na lang iyong nasaksihan ko bar ko, 'no? And if we exist, hybrids, I am sure so does other creatures.

"Let's say you are Pouvoirers, but why did you take me here?" I am not one of you. I wanted to add but decided to keep my mouth shut.

"We had a report about a certain Aurora Amaranthine Avar alarming the Mortal World. We had you monitored and confirmed that you might have powers," paliwanag ni Sir Ace.

So that explains why I feel like there is someone tailing me around. Good thing I became cautious of my actions.

"You mean the time I threw someone from here to a quite distance?" That was the only thing I could recall I almost lost control of myself.

I saw a guy harrassing a woman in a dark alley while I was heading home. Everything immediately went red as I took care of the criminal. Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili ko at muntik ko pa siyang napatay. The woman was whimpering in cold and fear. I can't imagine the trauma she felt that time. Hindi ko alam na may audience pala ako no'n. Hindi ko naramdaman ang presensya niya.
