Third POV

The taste of blood woke her up from her slumber. Her crimson eyes stared at Carlisle, who was holding a blood bag close to her mouth.

"Is it already 100 years?" "It feels so fast." She sat up in the coffin that had been custom made for her.

"Sadly no. I have something to say to you. There's a reason why I woke you up earlier than you instructed," Carlisle replied, taking a step back to give her space to come out.

She just stared at him. Carlisle never broke his promise to her, so this must be very important. She snatched the blood bag from him and drained it in a second. The only way to wake her up was to give her human blood. "I honestly can never do the rabbit diet." "Disgusting," she thought.

"This better be good, Carlisle, or I'm going to kill this entire coven," she said as she stepped out of the coffin, rolling her eyes.

Carlisle looked unsure of his decision to awaken the woman from her slumber. She scared him sometimes, and right now, the doctor was scared shitless.

The Cullens gathered in the living room and explained to the girl why she had been awakened so early.

"So you're saying you woke me up so I could help kill the newborns because they want to kill Bella, Edward's mate?" She looked at everyone, asking for assurance that she was right.

"Yes. you're right. Listen, I would do anything to save her, Verena. "I even made a deal with you." Begged Edward. This guy was really desperate, asking for her help.

"Trust me, Edward, you don't want to make a deal with me."

Alice walked towards Verena, who was standing in the corner of the room.

"Would you please help us?" " Please?" Alice was making this face where she looked dumb, according to Verena.

"You already saw this in the vision, did you?" asked Verena. Alice just smiled, agreeing with that statement.

Verena rolled her eyes and said, "Fine, I'll help." "You owe me, Eddie."

Everyone in the room cheered, happy that they were one whole family again with Verena's awakening. They missed the girl, even though she scared them sometimes.

Esme walked to her and hugged her. "I missed you so much." "I'm glad you're awake."

Verena hugged that woman so tight that if Esme were a human, she would be crushed by now. "I missed you, mom." She loved that woman like her own mother. After Carlisle turned Esme, Verena always thought of her as a mother figure. She called her mom on the first day they met, and Esme loved her as her daughter. Nobody can defeat the mother-daughter bond these two have. not even Rosalie and Alice.

"Okay, enough with the hugging; it's my turn to hug my sister now." Emmett hugged Verena and twirled her around. Both of them were laughing like maniacs.

"Put her down, Emmett." "You're going to make her sick," warned Rosalie.

"Oh, please, Rose, you keep forgetting that I'm not human."

Rosalie smiled at her sister. She missed the girl the whole time Verena was asleep. She was the one who kept the coffin clean and kept it in the safest room in the house every time they moved.

Verena held her hand. "I missed you too, sis," she said with a smile to Rose. She knew Rosalie was waiting for her to wake up. She could hear Rosalie talking to her when she was asleep.

"You can't tell me that you only missed her." What about me? "We used to be partners in crime," Alice explained as she stole Verena. Verena pretended that she didn't see Alice and earned a pinch from her.

Verena hugged Alice. "Of course I missed you, dipshit." Verena turned around to see Jasper waiting for her to notice him. She never really got to know Jasper in the two years before her slumber. He can't control his hunger around the girl since she has a beating heart and blood running through her veins. But after hearing stories from Rosalie and Emmett about how powerful and awesome she was, Jasper wanted to meet her.

"Hey newbie, can you control it now?" It's been 54 years. He should be able to control it by now. Verena tried to start a conversation with him. During her two years of knowing him, he never responded to her, and she had been trying not to cut off his head because he was a family member.

"Well, I can now. I'm stronger now. "You don't have to be concerned about me," Jasper said with a smile. Now he knows why this family loved her. She had this string where she pulled people around her.

"God, please. "Even if you sucked me dry, I would be breathing for the next 5 minutes." "Nothing, boy, can kill me," she boasted. 

Jasper laughed at her statement. He started to like this girl.

Verena made eye contact with Edward. She went towards him. giving him a small smile.

"Well, I really thought we were going to get married," she said to Edward, who laughed.

"I would marry you if I hadn't met her." He joked.

"Can I kill her then?" so we could get married. "

He smiled. Knowing that she was joking. They would never marry each other. Hell will indeed freeze over. She was his best friend. No matter how many times they flirted with each other, they knew that they were never meant to be together. If people didn't know better, they would say Edward and Verena were a couple. She loved him, and he loved her, but only as a friend.

"No. I love her. "She's the one I've been looking for," he admitted. Verena smiled, knowing her best friend had found his love. She was proud of him.

"I guess I'll lose then," she admitted as she hugged him. She truly missed her best friend. That man will always have a place in her heart.

"Verena,"

She looked at Carlisle. Her saviour. In fact, they were each other's saviors. She taught him how to be a vampire when he first turned. She found him when she was travelling in Europe. She was there for him when he had no one else.The same goes for her. He stuck with her after knowing who she was and her past. He believed that she could be changed, and he was right. Carlisle made her a better person, and she always thanked him for it. They were brother and sister, Carlisle and Verena Cullen. They even stayed with the Volturi for a while until Carlisle decided to leave because of the diet difference. He had feelings that the Volturi would bring back the old Verena, so that's why he decided to leave. From there, they formed their own coven together. built a family together.

"You looked scared earlier," she stated.

He scoffed. "Of course I would; you always scared me with your looks."

"Hey, don't shame me in public, okay?""I'm the most beautiful creature to ever exist," she said with dramatic hand gestures.

Carlisle laughed. He missed his sister. "Please don't go to sleep again." "I can't deal without having you out here." He pleaded. She just gave him a sad smile, knowing she couldn't promise anything.

"So when will I get to meet this famous Bella?" asked Verena. She can't wait to meet this human who will be her family.
