The couple hang out at Paul's house after their meeting, rekindled their relationship. They cuddle on the bed, just listened to each other's breathing.

"If I ask you to be my girlfriend, would you said yes?" Paul broke the silence.

Verena turned her head to him, looking for answers in his eyes.

"Honestly, I don't even know. I told you I don't do relationship." She answered.

"Then what are we? We can't go on like this forever, Verena. We're having babies." He defended.

Verena sat up, staring at Paul.

"What's the point of saying yes when this can't be forever? And i will end up being alone when you grow old. I don't want to get attach to anything because I can't handle it when you're gone." She rambled.

"Hey, as long as we stay together, I'll never stop phasing. I chose to be with you. I love you, Verena Drakos. Until forever." He confessed, stroking her face softly.

"Until forever." She whispered. She kissed him tenderly, like she was scare that he will left her alone.

"I take it as a yes?" He asked.

"I'll think about it."

Paul's POV

I can't believe this. I'm going to be a father. I never see myself as a father because I was scared that I might become like my father. He was fine but emotionally distant. I definitely didn't want that for my kids. Our kids. I'm having kids with Verena.

She sleeps peacefully besides me. I keep rubbing her stomach that was definitely harden than before. I would do anything to protect the people I love.

"I could feel you staring at me," she mumbled in her sleep.

"Just sleep, Verena." I replied softly.

She put her hand on top of mine that was resting on her stomach. She slowly opened her eyes. Her beautiful dark brown eyes that i fell in love everyday.

"Stop worrying, everything will be okay." She assured me.

No matter how many time she convinced me that everything will be okay, i could never feel the same. My guts telling me that's something is going to happened.

"Okay," i responded, not wanting her to my worries.

"Now, let's sleep."

"I can't, it's my shift. I got to go."

She grunted and snuggled to him.

"Don't go. I just got you back." She mumbled.

"I have to, baby. I'll be back."

She rolled on her back and got up. "I'll go back home then. Don't want to stay here if you're not here." She said.

"I'll call you when I'm done, okay?"

She nodded, gave me a lingering kiss before sped out with the inhuman speed.

"I still hate that." I grumbled.

Third POV

As soon as she step into the Cullen residence, she could hear Renesmee's giggling. She walked towards the sound and saw Rosalie playing with her. She was gone for a day and Renesmee already looks like she's a month old.

"God damn, she's growing up fast." She stated, taking a seat next to Rosalie. Verena pinched Renesmee's cheek making the girl squealing.

"I don't have any idea what's going to happened to her." Carlisle sighed.

The blonde guy was worried what might happened to the little girl. Everyone has fallen in love with her.

"We'll just see what happened. For now, let's just enjoy our time with her." Esme assured her husband.

Verena smile softly towards Renesmee. The girl reached her hands out, signaling that she wanted the older woman to hold her. Verena didn't wait any seconds to hold her.

"You're natural, Ver. You would be a good mother." Rosalie said with a soft smile.

"Same goes to you, Rose."

Renesmee held her small hand to Verena's cheek. The hybrid leaned into her touch, seeing all the memories they had.

'I will protect you like my own children,'

"Verena, can you help me with something?" Carlisle signaling her to his study.

Verena gave Renesmee back to Rosalie and instantly making the girl crying.

"I'll be back, darling." Verena kissed her cheek before following Carlisle into his study.

Verena immediately made the soundproof spell knowing that Carlisle wanted to talk about her pregnancy.

"You told him?" He asked.

She nodded.

"What did he say?"

"He was shock at first but he's okay. We're managing,"

Carlisle stood closer to her, holding her shoulders.

"We got this, alright? Like we always do." He assured her.

She smiled softly. "I know. We already handled Renesmee, I'm sure we can handle two more." She joked.

"Well, Cullens are definitely growing." He chuckled.
