Third POV

Morning came, that night, Verena Cullen slept like a baby. She opened her eyes to see her mate still sleeping, slightly snoring, she smiled. He looked so peaceful while sleeping, like he didn't have any problems at all. She couldn't help herself but to stare at him. Right now, she felt like Edward for staring at Paul sleeping.

Paul stirred up for a bit and opened his eyes.

"Did you watch me sleep?" he asked groggily with his morning voice. Hearing his morning voice makes her slightly turned on.

"Yes, I did." She stood up from the bed, picking up her clothes that were scattered all over the room. She put on her undergarments and her clothes. She could feel that Paul was staring at her.

"You look better naked." he stated.

"Well, Mr. Lahote, you have a patrol to do. We don't want Sam getting angry, do we?" She chuckled and threw his clothes on his bed.

"I don't care about patrol, we can go for another round." he smirked.

"As tempting as that sounds, I have to go. I still have a family to see. I will see you later, lover boy." She gave him a quick kiss and left him all alone in the room.

The moment she walked into Cullen residence, all the vampire was hit with the smell of wet dog and sex. Verena acted like she didn't know anything and shielded her mind so Edward couldn't see what happened last night. Carlisle and Edward were the only one who were not at home.

"Holy shit, our Verena just got laid," Emmett said with a playful grin.

"Did you just have sex with one of the mutts?" Alice said with disgust in her voice.

Verena plopped down next to Esme.

"Honey, I love you and all, but you really stink, you should go shower first." Esme instructed her.

Verena sighed, not saying anything to her family.

"But seriously though, who did you sleep with? I thought you had a mate?" Rosalie asked.

Verena kept quiet.

Suddenly, everyone gets the point that her mate was one of the wolves.

"Seriously? A mutt? What is wrong with this family for not having a normal mate?" Rosalie complained.

"Oh give it a rest, Rosalie. She found her happiness, that's all that matters." Jasper fired. He was happy for that woman. She waited for thousands of years for him to exist.

"Well, as long as it's not Paul, then I'm cool with it." Emmett said.

Verena looked at Emmett, gave him a sheepish grin. He realised her answer, saying that it was Paul.

"Oh come on!" he groaned.

"As much as i want to give you a hug, you need to shower first. Then, I'll hug you." Alice said.

Verena looked around the house. Noticing there was someone missing.

"Where's Bree?" she asked, wondering where that girl was, since she couldn't smell her.

"She's in Denali. Carlisle asked Eleazar to teach her our ways. It will be more suitable for her to learn to control her thirst in Denali since there are not many people living there." Esme answered.

After she got out of the shower, she spent her time in her room, discovering all the songs that missed because of her slumber. She took a liking to rock and metal songs. She hated the classical songs that Edward suggested she should listen to. She felt ill whenever she listened to them so she took Emmett's suggestion to listen to 80s rock and it was better. At this point, she regretted that she went to sleep during the 80s.
