Adora's POV:
We're already up the way of The Cursed Caldera. It's getting darker and to be honest, weirder. I don't really like this at all. I haven't heard the humans' screams for a good while so I think we should have stopped running about thirty minutes ago but I'm scared I'd never hear the end of it from Rayla.
I wonder what Dad is doing. I wonder if he's alright, healthy, or healing from an injury he got the night we left. Or anything, really. Is he mourning over those who died that night? Is he with Opeli? Or Viren?
I can't wait to see him. Or Claudia. Or Soren. He may be a bit of a jerk sometimes, but he's usually alright. I kind of want to hug Dad.
I miss him.
How long is this trip going to take?
I really want some cold water.
No one's POV:
The group of friends has been going on for a while, running endlessly so the mob wouldn't catch them. A big, tall, dead tree appeared in front of them, and they took a stop behind it. The girl with light blue eyes plopped on the ground, her back resting against the hardwood, having the impression that her legs were on fire, trying to regain her breathing. She was between the oldest sibling and the pure white-headed girl, while Ezran was next to the only moon shadow-marked elf. Callum's head took rest on the sister's shoulder.
One sniff.
The princess began horrendously coughing, the strong smell giving a burning sensation to her nose. "Ew you dimwit, you smell like horse pee."
"You cough like a donkey." He replied, closing his eyes.
"But Cal, you do stink." Ez added, completely confused, making the other brother completely offended and the other sibling smirk victoriously.
The ex-assassin sighed. "Everybody silence. Let's just please stay quiet for a bit. I am not mentally prepared for another one of your bickerings yet."
With that, a quite nice silence set over the quadruple. After a few seconds, the green-eyed spoke again. "So...I think we're safe." He shortly said still out of breath, alike the rest.
"Safe? Sure." Rayla sarcastically remarked. "How are we supposed to find this miracle healer though?"
Suddenly, an intimidating figure of an animal with a small rider on its back captured the team's attention, surprising them. Ral got her spares out, prepared to fight.
The mysterious person and animal jumped from their rock to another into the light, revealing themselves as the familiar copper-like skin-toned girl and her unusual pet.
The blue hair tipped gripping tightly on the tree's risen roots.
Life is testing me today. She internally panicked.
The girl with braided hair looked at them displeased. "Come with me. I'll help you find her." She abruptly grinned, making everybody stand up surprised. "This way!" She turned, Ava barking in agreement.
"Are we completely going to ignore the fact that she has as a companion a gigantic wolf with very good dental hygiene?" The blue-tipped slightly trembled.
"Don't worry, she's friendly." Ez spoke, taking her hand.
