While Adora was sitting in her room and all packed, she thought that something was sus with King Harrow. So she decided to sneak into Callum's and Ezran's room.

"Pssst!"

"Ezran I am sorry for what I said- Ezran?"

"Pssssst!"

"Ezran, where did you go?!" questioned the prince.

"Callum!!" The elf screamed.

"Ow!" Yelped the brunette while he hit his head to the little door for Bait.

"What the heck Cal? Are you trying to get Bait's place or something?" Asked Adora, kind of suspicious.

"Ezran is 100% here! Haha, right, Ez?" Said the human nervously.

"Ezran is there?"

"Yes, of course! Hah!"

"Well, hello Ezran!" She greeted. "And Callum, we need to talk."

"About what?" asked the brother while taking out his head from the little door.

"Dad is suspicious. Why would he send us to the winter lodge if it is spring?" She crossed her arms.

"Hmm, maybe because assassins come tonight to kill him?" Callum retorted, evident sarcasm laced in his voice.

Her eyes widened."Are you serious right now?!"

"Don't tell me you really didn't know, Adora."

"Surprise, I really didn't. Nobody tells me anything anymore, I swear to the stars." She muttered, annoyed.

A silence settled between them, uncomfortable and tense.

Quiet and vulnerable, Adora's voice was the only thing heard in the room. "I hate them. I hate them so much."

"I know. Me too." He frowned emphatically, grabbing her shoulder gently and inviting her for a hug she gratefully accepted.

"I am not one of them. I will never be."

"I know." He rubbed her back comfortingly. "Even more, you don't have a traditional skin pattern, so you are not officially a Moonshadow elf, even from their perspective." Callum smiled, pulling away from the hug as he supportingly looked at his sister, hands still resting on her shoulders. "After the age of three years old, for every child there is held a special ceremony where the moon assigns a unique pattern to be painted on the child's skin. The moment the child is brought into the water, their special design glows a cerulean blue, gleaming beautifully in contrast with their skin and the moon's light. After the moon has chosen your pattern, an elf that the child's parents usually choose carefully draws them, the ink staining the child's skin forever. A very beautiful tradition, now that I think about it."
