It was sundown, King Harrow was wearing silver armor with gold, putting his crown on his head.
With guards behind and next to him, he was walking on the halls on his way to his dorm, waiting for his time to come, ready to pay the price. Soren, with two guards behind him, was holding the King's sword, giving it to him so he can protect himself from attack.
They walked in the garden on their way to Harrow's room. It was so quiet. You couldn't even hear someone breathing.
The king was in his room, moving his sword a bit. Pip, his parrot sitting on his shoulder, noticing that something is happening.
"This may be the end."
Pip chirped.
"Awww, who gives the best birdie kisses? Pip does!" The male cheered.
"But I don't understand. The switching spell will save his life! Why would he say no?" Claudia asked while entering her father's room along with her dad."King Harrow is a principled man," Viren responded.
"You mean stubborn!!" The daughter corrected.
"Watch your tongue. But, yes, he is hardheaded. Usually about the right things, but about this...I don't know." Viren sighed.
"You look so...happy in this portrait," Claudia said while looking at the painting in front of them.
"I was. We posed for this a few years after King Harrow's coronation. He insisted I stand next to him for the painting. Because he knew I would stand by him through anything."
"And you have." The younger mage smiled.
"So far, yes." Viren looked down at the floor, then again at the picture. "I have to stand by him through this, too. I need to be the man he once believed I was."
"What does that mean, dad?"
"It means there's one more thing I can do to convince him."
"What are you doing?"
"If I told you, you would try to stop me."
"So, shouldn't I just try to stop you then, even without knowing?"
"Goodbye, Claudia." Viren exited the room.
While Claudia looked again at the portrait, a letter slipped to her legs. She picked it up and looked at the portrait with a ginger-haired girl who was holding a sheep which was also the picture where Callum, Adora, Ezran, and Rayla entered. Claudia got closer and touched the orange handprint with a finger to taste it.
"Ugh! Persimmon?" Claudia said.
The young mage pushed the painting, discovering a secret hall. The girl snapped her fingers so she can turn on the light. She started walking down the hall.
