"Oh shut your trap!" Callum replied, offended. "You are no better anyway."The two adults tried to hold back their laughs.
"You're safe now, boys." Aunt Amaya said, changing the subject.
Ezran started rubbing the bread on the sword that was put on the wooden table. He finally made it break into two pieces. When he crunched it happily, the bread was as hard as a rock. Which wasn't very pleasing.
The guards were patrolling outside the lodge. It was sundown. Some of the knights were fixing the door while the others were doing their tasks.
Callum was resting on the couch with his back to his younger brother, sighing while the sister was trying to make a plan to escape.
The older prince sighed once more. "This is all my fault. We should have never come here."
"Yeah well, you should have thought of that two hours ago! Now be grateful that I am trying to make an escaping plan here."
"But guys, we found Aunt Amaya! Maybe we should tell her!" The little prince said as he was playing with a wooden figurine while Bait was just watching.
"Tell her about what?" The male with green eyes asked.
"About the egg...and Rayla."
"Ez, you know that I love Aunt Am but we can't tell her that. She hates elves! She would kill Rayla instantly. And about the egg...I don't know."
"But Ad...you are a -"
"I am not. I was just born like that. Born in the wrong tribe. I am a human at heart. And that's all that matters. Moonshadow elves are...scary."
"But Rayla is one." The ocean-eyed kid continued.
"Rayla is different. She, is just, different. We can't trust her fully yet, but if she risked her life and she still does for Callum's damn toy cube, that means that she might have a good heart."
"Someone's kind of fancying Rayla~~" Adora's older brother teased, trying to lighten up the conversation.
"If you mean that I'm glad I finally don't have to always stay around you guys and make sure you both don't do something stupid 24/7, then yes."
"Sure, the classic excuse: Blame it on the "douchebags"." The emerald-eyed prince complained.
"Anyways," She fake-coughed. "we can't tell her. Didn't you hear what she said? How she talked about elves?" Their sister changed the subject. "To Aunt Amaya, elves are monsters."
"But if we just could explain everything--" Ezran stated.
"It won't work. Humans and elves don't trust each other." Callum explained while going in front of the little prince, on one knee. "That won't change until we take this egg back to Xadia."
