Vigor Kinsteel's POV:
Whilst digesting every single word from Ailmer's story about Cassandra's background, I also took out my notebook and wrote down all details. Ailmer's story left me unsatisfied with my question remained unanswered. Nothing from his story could explain the origin of her bizarre quadra elemental power along with her monstrous affinity with mana. Instead, it left me with another bunch of mysteries that I could analyze some theories out of it.
"I swear, that's all I know.", Ailmer concluded, upon seeing my disappointed face.
"Yeah yeah yeah, typical answer. But guess you have no reason to lie.", I stored my notebook to dimensional ring and stood up from the chair.
"*Sigh*, please, I'm entrusting you with this story. Don't tell anyone." Ailmer said in concern.
"Heh, what will I get from doing that? Anyway, now you have a quadra elemental mage in your lovely village. She can use magics, congratulations, you must be proud. But talking about controlling them, welp, too bad none of you can teach her. And trust me, it can end up very ugly.", I pulled out my wine flask.
"What exactly are you trying to imply, adventurer?", Ailmer asked.
"Let me get it straight, when she blocked my testing fire spell earlier, I sensed it very accurately. The water spell was totally created based on her emotions and instincts, it wasn't controlled, she wasn't controlling it. It was due to her abnormal affinity with mana which she doesn't know how to use, got her save. But then, what if her power doesn't just stop at protecting her? She can unconsciously harm everyone and everything around her without being able to stop herself. Furthermore, what will be the kingdom's reaction when they discover an elf with fire affinity that burns down your precious tree houses into ash piles? Oh yeah, it will be chaos. Having someone with such power like her under your care is not ideal at all.", I explained in serious tone.
Ailmer went silent as worries written on his face, unable to reply me back.
"I'm in a hurry apparently so I will cut it short. I'm asking you to let me take Cassandra to the royal family. I'm under the king and queen's favor right now, I will ask them to take care of Cassandra. In their castle, she will be properly nurtured, trained and developed into a complete mage. With that, she won't waste her potentials and will use her powers for the greater good.", I sipped some wine.
"Are you serious?", Ailmer bewildered.
"Dead serious.", I simply answered.
"Let me have a moment to sort this out and I will give you my answer."
I dispelled the sound proof barrier and went outside to wait him. This stuff was purely relied on him as he was still the village's chief and Cassandra's supervisor. I could kidnap Cassandra by force without waiting for his permission but it's obviously a poor choice for the Eraliths to tolerate with. I just formed an alliance with the Elven Royalty for only one day. There was no good reason to ruin it right the next day.
Stepping outside the tent, I saw Cassandra and group of elves were standing around the mustache guard elf who was encased in the rock coffin with shocked faces. Some were trying to pry out pieces of rock to free him out.
"Stand back." I ordered and gathered attention from the crowd as they began to notice my appearance.
I flicked my hand and the rock coffin crumbled, letting Mustache fall on his knees.
"You filthy human! Wait until I report the King about this and you are so done!", Mustache yelled angrily.
"Cry as much as you like, I did what needs to be done and nothing was harmed. Maybe except for your ego."
