Vigor Kinsteel(Drinkard)'s POV:

Helen's plan worked out brilliantly, I gotta give that to her. We out played all the Amphitheres and achieved our goals without losing anyone of our team. The moment we got out of the entrance, Durden blocked it with his earth wall to make sure none of them would crawl out. Angela vomitted due to car sick. And I got scolded severely by Helen and Durden for my driving skill.

It was a successful day, I got an abundant amount of venom ready to be brewed into long term use poisons, and a lot of venomous beasts eggs for my uncle's alchemy farm. Speaking of which, it's time to come home.

"Phew, this was the very first time I got to experience a... bizarre dungeon dive like this one. Although we may have some slight disagreements at the beginning, I call it a successful dive. Again, as the leader of Twin Horns, thanks for your help Vigor.", Helen gave me a smile.

"Same thing to you, 'captain'.", I replied

Helen gave her hand out for a handshake:

" Until we meet again. But are you sure you don't need us to help you go to the medical ward with your leg like that?"

" I can handle it myself."
I grabbed her hand and shook slightly.

"Thanks for saving me, I promise I'll repay you next time spear bro.", Adam grabbed my shoulder with a thumbs up.

Twin Horns said goodbye to me and we departed.....until I have to meet Jasmine again when Arthur becomes an adventurer.

“2 more months.”, I reminded myself.

It was almost night, I stopped the carriage in front of my family's fortress’ gate. I put off my helm, revealing my face to the guards which made them shock like they were seeing a ghost.

Immediately, they let me go in. The nostalgic feelings hit in my head. It’s been more than a month since I left. Our old trusty butler Alfred welcomed me with a gentle smile and straight posture:

“Welcome home, young master. We’re delighted that you’re still safe.”

“Nice to see you again, Alfred—

“Vigor! My baby!”, Mother shouted from the hall’s stair as she dashed at me with speed that was abnormally fast for a conjurer like her. Not to mention about her arms strength as she welcomed me with a tight, bone-crushing(even though I’m wearing armor) yet….warm hug of motherly love.

“H-hi mother, I’m back.”, I hugged her back.

“Oh my sweetie, I just contacted you like yesterday! You must have been missing us so dearly or what?”, Mother asked with a teasing tone.

“The prodigal son has returned.”, Father said jokingly, walking from the stair down as well, only late after mother for a few seconds.

He approached me and we had a family hug, Alfred stood watching with a small smile.

“I missed you guys.”

“We missed you too, honey.”

“Looks like you’ve been well boy. The armor did its job without a doubt.” Father commented.

“He’s been doing well Ben?? Look at our son…. shaggy, long, untidy hair. Covered in stinky smells and dirty filth of mana beast”, Mother’s voice darkened with a dreadful aura surrounding her.

Father and I looked at each other with beads of nervous sweat.

“Vigor, I told you to go cut your hair right?”, Mother with a smile of death.
