Fighting For Her

Kimi paced back and forth in the Waiting Room, trying to stay calm and figure out how he was going to get in and see Shantelle.

He wasn't family, therefore they wouldn't let him in to see her.

He had found her, called the Ambulance and stayed with her.

Sacha, Victoria and Anne Marie soon came into the Waiting Room, leaving Alain and Nicolas to be allowed to go and see Shantelle.

"Do you think Shantelle is going to be okay?" Victoria asked, sobbing. It was clear that the tears had been streaming down her cheeks.

Kimi couldn't help but say something.

"This never would have happened if Shantelle had been my wife!" He snarled.

"Iceman, go and bother someone who cares!" Sacha snarled, eyeing the Finn, as he hugged his Mother and Sister.

"Who is that Sacha?" Anne Marie whispered.

"It's Kimi Räikkönen, Mum, he gave Shantelle away at the wedding" Sacha answered with a whisper.

Shantelle's Mother in law broke away from her son's embrace and approached the mentally wounded and hurt Finn.

"I will try and get everyone out of Shantelle's room later Kimi, so you can see her," Anne Marie said "You really want to be with her in her time of need don't you?"

"Oh more than anything Mrs Prost, more than anything," Kimi said, "I need to see my Kulta, to know if she's okay!"

Anne Marie smiled and said "just promise me you'll steer clear of Alain and Nicolas! Knowing my husband and my son as well as I do, they won't be afraid to throw a punch at you!"

A look of anger washed over Kimi's face "If anyone throws a punch at me, Mrs Prost, I will not hesitate to throw one back!"

"Oh Lord, help me!" Anne Marie breathed, knowing her son could very well end up in a worse condition than Shantelle.

Nicolas and Alain watched over a sleeping Shantelle.

She had mild whiplash, several lacerations, and bruising to half of her body but luckily no broken bones or head injuries, her spine and neck were also fine.

"It's a blessing she didn't sustain neck, head or spinal injuries Nicolas Jean," Alain said, gently stroking Shantelle's hand, letting her know he was there for her.

"I'm here Shantelle dear, whenever you're ready to wake up! You're not alone in this; your family are all here for you!" He said softly to the sleeping Australian the heart rate monitor beeping, the only sound in the room, flowers of different types colours and perfumes already filled the shelves around the room, Nicolas' fans were already praying for his wife to wake up and be all right.

Nicolas just snorted, grinding his teeth. "I bet she was fucking that Finn!" He snarled.

Alain gave his firstborn a disappointed look and said "Nicolas Jean..." But for once he couldn't even get the words out.

For once in his life, The Professor was speechless.

Finally, he walked out of Shantelle's room, leaving his son alone with his daughter-in-law.

When Alain got back to the Waiting Room, he hugged his wife, glad he still had her by his side.

"What's wrong Alain?" Anne Marie asked.

"Nicolas is determined that Shantelle cheated on him while she was at Kimi's house in Espoo" he confided to his wife, and then he saw his other children staring at them. "Go in and see Shantelle, you two!" he said
