A Dream Fulfilled...

Nico took the glass of champagne from Luca.

"Thank you, Mr Cordero di Montezemolo," He said politely.

"Bruno," Alain said, with a smile "great race today, but could you have overtaken Nicolas?"

Bruno smiled and said "I probably could have Alain"

Alain's next question wiped the smile off Bruno's face "then why didn't you? And where is my son?"

"He's in the Ferrari Garage Alain," Bruno said

"What in God's name is he doing in there?" Alain asked.

"Moving up in Formula One Alain, because you don't get any better than Ferrari!" Bruno said walking off "And I don't want to lose my teammate, you and Ayrton may have come to hate each other, but Nico and I are not you and Ayrton, I hope he turns Luca down!"

"You know Nicolas, your Father was a spectacular driver! Smart, fast, and he knew the politics of the sport and you're a lot like him!" Luca said, clicking his fingers for the team to reveal the Ferrari that was once Kimi's.

It was like Nico's heart had melted seeing the amazing, bright red Ferrari, it had always been his dream to drive for Ferrari.

"Now, I'm not going to how would your wife say it? "Beat around the bush," Luca said, gesturing for Stefano to bring him, Nicolas' contract "I can offer you a two-year contract here at Ferrari, alongside Fernando Alonso" handing him the contract.

Holding it in his hands he asked "Do you want me to sign it now?"

Luca smiled and said "I understand that you need to discuss it with your wife Shantelle, but I believe she will be right at home here at Ferrari, I will give you a few days to think it over and then I will send a jet for you and your wife to come to Maranello and see the factory! I am sure your wife will love to see her amazing work again, which still stands proudly at our front gates!"

Nicolas immediately thought of his pregnant wife back home in Paris, he was the race car driver but she was the other half of the marriage.

Luca brought him back into the real world "and the latest and most expensive Ferrari, money can buy is all yours as well" He said smoothly.

Nico's head shot up at hearing this.

"I think the brand new Ferrari Enzo will look good in your driveway in Paris," Luca said,

"Will all due respect Mr Cordero di Montezemolo, the Ferrari Enzo was released last year in 2014" Nicolas said

Luca grinned and took the iPad from Stefano and scoffed "Oh Nicolas, I'm talking about the 2015 brand new Enzo Maranello" showing him the expensive and exquisite rare Ferrari, "only 10 have been made and YOU will own one when you join us here at the Scuderia Ferrari family, think about it son, you will go far with us!"

Nico nearly had heart failure seeing the stunning bright red Ferrari, a whimper escaped from his lips and he felt the room spin.

"That 2.5 Million Euro car that is all yours, in fact, Nicolas, it should have arrived at your house in Paris as we speak, was anybody home?"

"My wife, Shantelle and my mother is staying with her" Nicolas answered.

"How is she doing with her pregnancy? You must surely be excited?" Luca asked.

Nicolas smiled and said "ecstatic and proud, very proud! And yes, she's coping well, a little bit of morning sickness but she's still active and getting out! It will be good to get home to her and Pharaoh!"
