The heifer went the wrong way and Kimi cursed the animal.

"Oh for fucks sake!" He snarled, turning Oddie round to chase the cow back into the herd.

"Icey! Stop fucking around and get back to the Station! You were meant to be at the Airport a few hours ago! You'll miss Shantelle's ultrasound"! Steve yelled from atop his bay mare.

"In a minute!" Kimi yelled, weaving Oddie in between termites' nests.

"NO NOW!" Steve bellowed "SHE'S GONNA START SEEING SOMEONE ELSE IF YOU DON'T FUCKING WAKE UP AND GO AND LIVE WITH HER IN BRISSY! WE CAN HANDLE IT HERE WITHOUT YOU UNTIL YOU GET BACK!! BUT RIGHT NOW SHANTELLE AND YOUR BUB MATTER THE MOST! HOW MANY ULTRASOUNDS HAVE YOU MISSED?"

As if someone had smacked him across the face he turned Oddie towards the Station and galloped him at full speed.

He just hoped he wasn't too late.

Brisbane

Shantelle headed through Southbank to get to the Mater Hospital for her twenty-four-week ultrasound.

Kimi had missed the last five ultrasounds and she was now used to going to them on her own.

Today she was going to find out the sex of the baby, but she had no intention of texting him to tell him.

"Shantelle?" Came a familiar voice.

She turned around "Nicolas..." She breathed, and without thinking, she rushed up to him and hugged him tightly.

His hug was warm and she realised just how much she missed him.

He pulled away feeling her bulging tummy "You're pregnant! Mon amour!" He said in shock.

"Yes, to the Iceman who is up in the Northern Territory chasing cows to his little heart's content, I am on my way to my 24-week ultrasound..."

"Would you like me to take you instead?" He offered, "I have a few hours spare..."

"What are you doing here in Brisbane?" Shantelle asked as he offered his arm and they casually strolled along.

"Believe it or not, Luca sent me...Ferrari has decided to open up a dealership here in the city and I'll be there to open it as Luca cannot make it!" He said with a smile. He was wearing his good Ferrari shirt under his warm jacket.

"Where is this new dealership situated?" She asked.

He grinned and said "Toowong actually...Porsche folded up and went bankrupt and Luca pounced! The opening is at three this afternoon, followed by a grand reception over at the Treasury Casino that starts at seven, if you're not busy and you're feeling up to it would you like to join me?"

She smiled "I'd be delighted Nicolas!"

As soon as Shantelle got back home, Sacha and Dedeline came to greet her. But she had no time for them as she had to go for her shower.

Nicolas was picking her up in just half an hour.

"Where's Kimi?" Delphine demanded as she chased Shantelle into her private Ensuite.

"Dedeline get out! I have to have my shower!" Shantelle growled.

Sacha was busy holding Angeline.

"Where's Kimi Shantelle???" Delphine demanded.

"PROBABLY CHASING COWS!" Shantelle yelled, from in the shower. "THAT'S WHAT HE'S BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS OF MY PREGNANCY!"

Delphine finally gave up and left Shantelle to enjoy what was left of her shower.
