The Wedding

She woke the morning of her wedding day, her Kimi would celebrate his thirty-seventh birthday tomorrow.

"How is the glowing bride this morning?" Delphine asked with a smile as she carried Shantelle's breakfast in on a tray.

"Eggs Benedict!" She exclaimed as she sat up "What a way to start the most amazing day of my life!"

The boys were already outside, getting the cars ready.

Alain had graciously lent his beloved Rolls Royce and Kimi had two of his Ferrari convertibles brought over for Delphine and Victoria, they were a bright red, while Alain's Rolls Royce was a beautiful silver.

"Can you put white with red?" Tiitus asked as he watched his Father and Uncle fasten the stunning ribbon to the front of the Ferrari Victoria would ride in.

Sacha and Alain were busy attaching the ribbon to the Rolls Royce, it was the same shade of purple as the bridesmaid's dresses.

"Anything going on the front, Sacha?" Alain asked, looking at the shiny front grille.

Sacha grinned and pulled out two teddies from a bag that was sitting on Shantelle's driveway, they were white and dressed as a bride and groom, the groom's teddy, however, was wearing a helmet similar to Kimi's.

Together the father and son attached the teddies, together with a bunch of artificial purple roses.

"We'd better get you ready Iceman!" Rami said with a smile.

While Shantelle was having her morning bath, Sacha slipped up to see his Dedeline.

"Everything okay, ma belle Dedeline?" He asked, smooching her lovingly.

"Oui, Shantelle's having her bath, bubby is kicking like mad but she is doing well! She's nervous!"

"What for?" Sacha asked "It's her wedding day..."

"With a failed marriage already in her life, she's just..."

"This marriage however will last an eternity!" He told her, with one last kiss, and then he was gone, back downstairs to help his Father get ready.

Well after eleven am and easily on schedule, Delphine knelt down to help put the finishing touches to Shantelle's wedding dress.

Victoria looked on lovingly; she had just had her hair and makeup done.

"You look breathtaking, sister!" She told the Australian.

Shantelle smiled at the two women she called her sisters and best friends, and she drew them into a tight hug, almost ruining her hair.

"No! Don't you cry on me! I will NOT have your makeup run!" Delphine told her.

"Ladies, you might want to check this out!" Alain said with a grin from the bedroom door.

"What, Dad?" Victoria asked more than curious.

Anne Marie and Paula were already on the verandah enjoying a cup of tea, laughing at the scene that was unfolding out on the road in front of Warrawee House.

"MUM! IT'S NOT FUNNY!" Rami bellowed as he clung to Kimi for dear life, terrified as he sat on Oddie behind his brother.

Kimi however was by now howling with laughter, and poor Sacha was nearly rolling around on the bitumen with laughter.

"Sacha Oliver Nelson Daniel!" Anne Marie called "Get up! You'll ruin a five-thousand-dollar suit!"

Rami pouted as he received no sympathy.
