Chapter 2: Friday

            I always hated wearing ties, why are they so difficult to put on? -

10:30am

"Do i really have to get on that?" Liam pouted as Dex was climbing on his motorcycle and holding out a helmet. "Yes, you do, your car broke down and for some godly reason you haven't fixed it." Liam snatched the helmet from his hands in defeat while climbing onto the bike. "I'll keep you safe like always" Dex hummed as he turned the key and pulled out from their driveway; Liam already keeping a tight grip around Dex's waist.

Dex actually enjoyed having the beta with him when it came to his bike, even though he knew how much Liam hated it he still enjoyed the idea of Liam keeping such a strong grip around him, He enjoyed protecting and keeping him safe specially after everything they been through.

After pulling into the parking lot of the mall, Liam pulled away and climbed off the bike, wobbling just a tad. "I'll only admit this once but it's actually getting a little fun, riding on that thing." Dex laughed as he put the helmet back on the bike and wrapped his arm around Liams shoulder. "See! I knew you'd enjoy it. After we get our suits, I'll buy you a coffee. Deal?"

Liam only nodded in response as he was scanning the massive mall. There were stores among stores and the last time he was in a place like this, he was with the love of his life. Being young, stupid and in love. Liam bit his lip as he turned to look at Dex, watching how he seemed so happy. He knew that Dex only wanted to protect him, but he just couldn't let him know how he truly felt. Sometimes he just feels like a complete fool still waiting for Theo, His love for the chimera never faded, it just only ached here and there.

Dex pulled Liam out of his thoughts by tugging him into the store that sold very nice suits, he couldn't believe he was going to waste a shit ton of money on a party full of people he most likely didn't know.  "Anything will look good on us in my opinion but i still think you should try on a few different ones to see which one you like the most" Dex sat down in a chair as a Lady came up to them. "Hello gentlemen, how can i assist you today?" She smiled.  "We're looking for something nice that will fit well for an engagement party?" Liam butted in as the womans eyes went from Dex to him. "Oh! Fantastic, i know a few selections you guys could pick from, the dressing room is right there, and I'll put a few of those suits in there for you" She pointed behind Liam as she hurried off to a few racks.

1:00pm

It was easy for Dex to find something to wear. He wasn't too picky, but he did promise Liam he would look good. Liam on the other hand was having issues, took him almost two hours just to find the right one. "I think i like this one, opinions?" Liam stepped out as he wore a midnight navy suit with a white button up shirt which he seemed to have skip a few buttons and not wearing the tie.

 Liam was scratching the back of his neck nervously as Dex just stared at him before standing up. "You look handsome pup but where is the tie?" He stepped forward as Liam took the dark colored tie out of his pocket and looked away with embarrassment. "I couldn't figure out how to tie it, they're so difficult!"

"I'll show you how to tie it tomorrow, yeah? let's get our items and checkout. I'm dying for a cup of coffee after you took so long" Liam punched his friends' arm while giving a quick nod before heading back in to change. "Thanks... I can't wait to see how handsome you'll look" Liam laughed as he yelled out from the curtains.

Dex ended up paying for them as Liam hoped the lady would give them a discount specially since she kept her eye on Dex the whole time they were there and surprisingly she did give them a small discount in Exhange of Dex taking her number. "Come back soon!" She leaned over the counter with a smile.

"You're always putting sugar in your coffee, it's weird!" Dex said after sipping his black coffee. "It's not weird, you just don't have good taste" Liam rolled his eyes and smirked which lead Dex to gasp very loudly and dramatically. "Excuse me!? I have amazing taste. How dare you" 

Liams phone went off; he decided to check it during mid conversation with Dex as he was still going on about how he had amazing taste and how every once in a while, he would add cameral to his coffees. "Who is it?" Dex leaned over the table as Liam was staring at his phone, the look he gave was as if something was wrong.  "Look for yourself" He slid his phone over to Dex.

Hey, you been on my mind recently and i know how we left things off but maybe we should meet up sometime soon. Lets talk and finally put things behind us, Miss having you around - Scott

Dex scoffed as he put Liams phone back down on the table. "Ignore it unless you feel like replying, that was years ago and all of a sudden he wants to make amends with you? I say no."

Liam put his phone back into his pocket as he sipped his coffee, giving a small sigh. He knew Dex was right, Scott didn't want anything to do with him after he had killed that kid, he was a hunter who was going to kill them, and it was a big accident that he had apologized for repeatedly. 

"I'll deal with it later, lets head home and i'll cook us a nice meal. Astrid said we could have a small vacation since her family was going to be coming in and helping with the bar." Liam stood up from his seat as Dex followed, Carrying their bags. "Sounds like a plan, after this party maybe we could go somewhere nice, we could go check in with the Hales." 

"Maybe it has been a while since we stepped foot in beacon hills, but we could also go up to NY and visit Mason & Corey." Liam smiled into Dex's shoulder as they were now on their way home.

Alright so nobody gets confused, Astrid is the Grill & Bars owner, she is actually a witch herself, so she does know about Liam and Dex's power! She is an character i made up myself <3 (If you want a good image of her, Look up Alyson Hannigan. I see Astrid looking like her)

 Next chapter they will be heading into the party which is where all my evil schemes come into play. <3!
