Chapter 8: the right thing?

Sometimes we all make mistakes and that only shows the human in us. -

Liam was knocking on the hales door. It had been a somewhat good drive and they finally made it back to the place where it all started; throughout that whole ride the only thing Liam could even think of is if he was doing the right thing. 

If he should be giving Theo this chance, is it all worth it?

"I'll get it dad!" a young voice called behind the door as it opened up. "Uh hello?" the boy raised his brow as Derek came up beside him. "Liam! Dex? what brings you two here?" Both boys were more interested in the young boy that when Derek cleared his throat and asked again, they both jumped.

"Oh, we came back to visit and take care of some stuff... uhm, who is that?" Dex peeked over Dereks shoulder to see the boy who opened the door for them now leaning over a counter and eating an apple. He looked about 15-16 and was ready for school. "Come in and i'll introduce you two troublemakers." Derek smirked as they entered the home. 

Their eyes scanning the pretty decor while the one stiles called "sourwolf" introduced them. "Eli, this is some old friends of mine, Liam who is Scott's beta and Dex." Eli waved his hand and mumbled with his mouth full; this giving Deja vu to Liam. "And to think my dad actually does have friends, I'm shocked" He smiled as Derek rolled his eyes and ignored his son.

Eli was getting ready for school and as soon as he left Derek turned around.  "So what exactly brings you guys here, you haven't visited in a long time." Dex and Liam took a seat on the couch as Derek stood there, leaning against the wall and crossing his arms.

"Just tell him Li or i will" Liam sighed- "Theo will be here shortly, Hes going to be giving me the reason on why he left...and why he is engaged." He looked down at his hands, feeling sick as the word engaged left his lips. "After so long he now decides to- Wait engaged? the hell is going on?" Derek walked over and sat down so Liam could explain.

Derek rubbed the back of his neck before getting out of his seat, he couldn't believe the story Liam just told him. It was a lot and probably a lot more for poor Liam, Derek felt bad that he wasn't there for Liam when he needed everyone. The knock on the door pulled the older wolf out of his thoughts. "I'll get it, it's probably Theo.." Liam got off the couch and opened the door, only to whimper at the scene in front of him and before he could shut the door Theo had stopped him.

"I'm here to explain so don't slam the door in my face Little wolf" Theo stepped in but not alone behind him was max who was giving a weak smile to the group which made Dex stand up. "The fuck is she doing here?" He growled as his eyes stayed on the chimera. "Shes here because she is also part of this, is there a problem?"

Silence filled the air as Theo scoffed "Thats what i thought so now if you don't mind-" Dex interrupted him with a quick punch in the side of his face. "Yeah, there is a fucking problem you prick."  Theo stumbled back as Max gasped, trying to help him up while Derek griped Dex's shoulder. "Both of you behave like the adults you are, Theo came here to explain himself so let him do that" Max yelled, she was upset that Liams friend would treat Theo like that, how disrespectful.

Liam stood there before opening the door, why did he even bother thinking Theo would come alone. Maybe this was his sign to just let it go, to finally let Theo go. He growled in frustration as he left. Maybe this wasn't the right thing. "Liam come back!" Dex was yelling as Derek still held him back, his eyes glued to Theo. 

"Theo go get him, i'll stay with these two. This drama needs to end because i do not have all day for your stupid child shenanigans. You all are adults now and if you can't handle this like adults then I'm sure my uncle can teach you. now go before i change my damn mind." Derek let out a deep breath, he didn't expect his day to end up like this. It normally just starts with him and his son; his son leaving for school than him leaving off to his body shop.

Liam was running, he didn't know where he was going to go but he just wanted away from it all. away from everyone and everything. He finally let loose and cried, his pain turning into bits of anger once again, Its been a while since he let his Anger take control over him, he tried to control it a lot more after the day of that accident.

 His fists was now colliding with the stone wall of a massive rock, he punched it over and over until he couldn't feel his hand anymore and after that he calmed down, his eyes changing back to his regular blue while He stood there, leaning his forehead against the cold stone. 

His mind was everywhere and at this very moment he felt broken and the only thing he could ask himself was-

When will it all get better? 

Alright I'm behind on a few chapters as i been busy with work. I'm going to try and post at least two chapters tonight; we are getting close to the ending as part 2 of yellow was just for me to create some dramatic cringe <3
