The emotion that breaks your heart can sometimes be the one that heals it -Nicholas Sparks

Liam stood there, shaking as his eyes landed on the man who came through those doors, the man Max said was her Fiancé. He couldn't believe it. How could he? His mind was scattered, and his heart was racing to the point each breath he took was causing pain.  Both was now staring at each other, both surprised.

Theo. He still looked so attractive as ever even older. It's been so long since he had seen him. From his Four a clock shadow and tied back hair to the Black suit with a Black button up he was wearing; not to mention the Rings that covered his fingers but only one stood out the most to Liam which made his heart ache more than it ever has in the last few years. An engagement ring.

"This is him, the mystery Fiancé! From the looks of your faces i was correct, you two was good friends" Max smiled, clapping her hands together. Theo cleared his throat as his eyes was scanning Liam, He couldn't tell what he was thinking. "Hello dear, Sorry i was so late, i had some business with your father and you know how he likes to talk" Theo kissed her cheek and smiled.

"I see you invited a.. friend from the past. I really wish you didn't" Theo mumbled as he couldn't even look at Liam right now which made Liam a little angry. He waited for so long to find out it was for what? He had been so stupid and by the looks of it Theo didn't even tell his soon to be wife about their past relations.

Dex stood there; his fists bawled up as he could clearly see the pain in Liams eyes unfolding. How dare he? After all these years no message, no sign, nothing and here he was living a good life with his soon to be wife?  He wanted to punch the hell out of Theo, but he couldn't.

Dex was thinking a little too much and quickly he grabbed Liams arm. "Please excuse us max, we do apologize." She looked more concerned now but only smiled. "Of course, we all can catch up soon. I do need to speak with Theo."

Dex dragged Liam away as his eyes was still on Theo and his wife. They both now seeming to get into a small argument. "What the fuck? Liam are you okay?" Dex stopped as they were now on a balcony of the building, something they both saw when scanning the room. "He.." Liam bit his lip as much as he wanted to just break down, he knew he shouldn't, so he bottled it. "I just want some air, by myself out here. To clear this head of mine" Liam laughed but Dex knew he wasn't okay.

Dex gave his friend some space by sitting outside of the Balcony doors, he ran a hand through his hair while leaning back against the wall, sighing. "Is he out there?" a voice asked making Dex look up, only to find Theo. "So what if he is? You're not going anywhere near him." Dex growled under his breath, Theo really didn't care, did he?

"Are you going to stop me Dex? Is that it? You and him a thing now?" Theo crossed his arms, glaring at his old friend. "Excuse me?" Dex was standing up now, inches away from Theo. "We are friends, and it wouldn't matter if we were. You seemed to be happy with a wife and all, after your stupid ass left him; i was the only one who was there for him and i be damn to see you hurting him anymore than you have tonight. So yes i will be stopping you"

"Dex just let me talk to him, this whole thing isn't what it seems. Give me the chance to explain myself, please. You know i wouldn't have left if it wasn't important. I just wanted to keep him safe and this wasn't how i expected things to be. Max-" Theo was practically begging at this point as Dex cut him off-.

"Theo you are going to married soon.. Do you have any idea what Liam has been through? Day after day he checked his phone, he waited for any sign of you. Those days turned into weeks then months and sooner years.  The man behind those doors right now is at his breaking point."

"You can hate me, he can hate me all he wants too but just please let me talk to him alone, i understand how this all looks..." Theo ran his hand over his face. "Fine, but i do expect an good explanation soon because between you and me, i do like Liam but i know he will never like me that way as his heart has always been set on you." Dex got up from the doors and walked back down to the party.
