As we entered the mansion we froze in place when we see everyone shouting at each other raging with panic, "what the hell is going on?" Adeline frowned in confusion

"Arden escaped!" Warren shouted, I roll my eyes of course he did, I glance over at Adeline nabbing her purse and digging her nails into the leather

"Oh mama's mad" I chuckle leaning against the wall

That was the last straw I gave up, I'm just so fucking done I made everyone search for him, Mama tried her best to calm me down and told me to take a long hot shower to help with my 'thoughts'

But I did what she said, I took a long hot shower, and I stood there thinking about everything, My back ached from the hot water dripping from my hair, I needed a break

I hated this, How did papa deal with all of this shit? How did (grandpa) nonno deal with this?

Then I started crying, to the point my chest was hearting I felt my heart being stabbed

I don't want this life, I don't want to have to be afraid 24/7 of the day that someone's going to hold me gun pointed

That someone will end up killing me, I shouldn't be afraid of my life, I shouldn't be afraid of being betrayed, I shouldn't be afraid that someone will die in my arms because of me because I caused it

My breath was cut short, I couldn't breathe the hot water was burning into my skin, I feel it burning me

And I loved it, I loved it so much that it hurt, I broke down, I fell to my knees and I couldn't stop the tears from falling from my eyes, It hurt so fucking much

I just wanted to be a normal girl, with a normal life, with normal friends, I didn't know if I was crying anymore it felt like I was screaming for help but I had no clue if anyone could hear me

As I heard my sweet little Adeline crying her heart out from the other side of the door, She sounded like she was being killed but it was pain that was killing her

And for some reason, I wanted to jump in the shower with her hugging her tightly against my chest as she broke down on me

Every time we would get into a blood fight I would tell her her pain is my pleasure but this isn't pleasant, I've never heard her cry I've never seen her cry

And I've never heard someone this broken scream for their life to be saved, She needed to be saved not from the mob but from herself and I hope it would be me to save her

But I can't save myself how will I be able to save her

I just stood there hearing her screams hearing her painful cries, Her heart was made of fire while mine was cold as Ice, She can melt me but I can't fix her I just make it worse

The pain will spread like gasoline, I can't do that. I won't be the one to hurt her,

I knocked on the door hoping she wouldn't open so I could excuse myself to leave and not cry in her arms but she did, She opened the door and beamed once she saw me

"Esme Beaumont" I smiled as she pulled her arms out for me, I run straight into her arms wrapping them around her neck as she rubbed my back in circles, "I missed you" she whispered shutting the door behind me

I release her and walk into her living room, To my surprise, I saw someone unexpecting, "Valentina" I freeze as she arched a brow up at me, "(grandma) Nonna I hope you remember Adeline"

She suddenly smiled, her presents intimidates me knowing she used to be the most feared woman the world has seen, "Adeline Amato, The world's most feared woman" Gosh when she says it I could melt

This feels like an honor, "It's good to see you, Valentina-" "Call me Val" She cuts me off sitting up to greet me, I shake her hand and sit beside Esme, Then suddenly Val gets a call

"What do you want" She rolled her eyes while hovering her phone on her ear,

"Andre she's your wife your seriously afraid of your own wife" She lets out a seductive laugh, holy shit that laugh, "Fine I'll be there" She sighs while playing with a ring she had on her finger

Her mood suddenly changed, Esme stayed quiet beside me not wanting to disturb her conversation, "Can't I need to stop by my husband" Lorenzo...

"yeah I miss him too"
"Are you crying?" She smiled through the phone, I could hear cries coming from the phone,
"Stop crying idiot I'll pick you up so we'll both see him" She hung up the phone then sat up

"Have to go, it was nice seeing you again Adeline" She smirked, I smile back and before she walked out of the living room she blew a kiss and chuckled.
