The Apocalypse

The president did what!!!

While the students were dealing with zombies, the commander had met the president about the zombie issues but instead of helping his county, he planned an escape for himself alone forgetting about the family.
The commander was left  with taking matters into his own hands. Few minutes after the departure of the Commander, the president was about to leave when swarms of zombies came running towards the white house.
"Save your damn president," The president ordered and soldiers took their position and they started shooting. Luckily, the zombies seemed to be killed by their guns but the main reason why the head of the zombies wasn't affected by the gunshot was clearly a mystery.
The more the zombies got shot, the more they became. "Keep the president and his family safe," the highest rank of the soldiers in the battlefield ordered those with the president.
The soldiers were escourting the president and his family to a safe place when 3 zombies appeared. The zombies were shot on sight which made the family safe for awhile but the gunshot was too loud for the twins and they started panicking and attracting more zombies.
   "You guys are too slow," the scared president said to his family after he realized that more zombies were coming.
   "Delta131 speaking over, is the president safe?" the highest rank of the soldiers in the battlefield said over the walkie-talkie "we haven't gotten to the safe house, I repeat, we haven't gotten to the safe house" one of the soldiers escorting the president and his family said over the walkie-talkie 
   "Secure the president and his family" Delta131 said and Beta 135 disconnected the walkie-talkie.
The now anxious president ordered the soldiers to leave his family alone because he believed they were too slow.
"Dad, you can't do this!" His 16 years old son Delvin yelled at his dad "let's go," the president ordered.
"If you won't take mom and I, at least take the twins." Delvin walked towards his father aggressively and the soldiers immediately pointed the guns at him not allowing him to go any closer. "Please." His wife Clara begged him to take the twins. The president looked at his family one last time then he ordered the soldiers to take him to the safe house. Clara kept begging him to take the twins with tears in her eyes but he turned a deaf ear to her till she could no longer see him.
   Static noises were heard over the walkie-talkie as Delta131 announced that the zombies had taken over due to them being plenty then it disconnected. One of the soldier holding the walkie-talkie also know as Beta 135 left the squad that was meant to protect the president without any of them knowing went back to meet the family the president left behind.
   "Did my husband send you to get us?" Clara asked Beta135. "Zombies are approaching, we have to go inside." He carried the twins towards the house. Clara and Delvin followed him thinking the president told him to protect them. Beta135 was locking the doors and windows when Clara asked him the same question she asked earlier but he only sighed not knowing how to reply her.
   "Mom, isn't it obvious? Dad ditched us." Delvin joined Conner in locking the doors and windows after he realized the bitter truth. Clara being so  devastated at the moment  went to calm the twins down and at that moment, she swore to protect her children if not herself no matter what happens.
