The Apocalypse

SACRIFICE.

    As they all ran for their dear life, the zombies were catching up to them and then Mr. Wayne decided to distract the zombies away. Mr. Wayne ran the opposite way and the zombies followed him "what are you doing?" One of the teachers asked "keep running guys." The zombies finally caught up to him.
    Everyone ran as fast and far as possible before the zombies noticed them again. They kept running but the more they ran the more zombies chased them.

    Delvin and Conner had left the house and was now in a safe looking house probably to find any useful items.
   "You go up, I'll stay down." Conner whispered unsure of what was lurking in the house.

    Just like before, Katherine had too much adrenaline flowing through her. She began to feel lightheaded. She slowed down and Henry carried her "Henry I'm scared," she managed to talk which came out as a whisper and a little drop of tears in her eye. "You're gonna be okay, I'll keep you safe just like I always do, "Henry assured her and she passed out after.

    Delvin gently walked up the stairs so as not to make any noise that will attract whatever was in the house.
    A zombie suddenly grabbed Delvin as he got to the bedroom and he proceeded to shoot it in the head, Luckily he wasn't bitten. He looked at the body for a few minutes and discovered that it was a mum
    "You okay up there?" Conner yelled and Delvin assured him that he was okay. They both continued whatever they were doing when suddenly he heard heavy and shaky breathing under the bed "Hello," he said cautiously then bent down to look under the bed when he saw a little girl about the same age of his twin brother and sister holding a baby
        Hey, come on, I won't hurt you," Delvin said as he stretched his hand a little bit yet giving distance from the unknown girl. The unknown girl hissed at him signifying him to back off. Unlike other zombies he would shoot immediately, Delvin refused to kill her because she did not attack. She was zombified but yet she was scared "You might be dead but that sweet little girl is somewhere in there struggling to live," he said gently.
    After few gentle and careful words, the little zombified girl carrying  the zombie baby finally came out. As Delvin stretched out his hand to stroke her hair, Conner shot her from the back "The heck?" Was the only thing that slipped out of his mouth.
    "Don't trust any zombie," he said as he shot the baby as well. "I think she was special," he said as if he was sad for the dead girl "she was already dead, I just made sure she stayed dead. I should expect a thank you note." He scoffed.
    Delvin not knowing what to say, he looked out the window only to see swarms of zombies approaching. "What the hell! Conner come check this out! " He said really surprised " woah! " He also said surprised "Are they all zombies?" Delvin asked while trying to figure out if all of them were zombies. "Are they heading here?" Conner asked not caring if there were non zombies there as well.
    Delvin suddenly ran downstairs after he saw Henry carrying Katherine, a thing zombies can't do. "Zombies are chasing the non zombies!" He yelled to the puzzled Conner.
    "You can't just go out there without a plan," Conner said to Delvin but he was out of the house. "Run faster!" Delvin yelled at the students and teachers as some zombies who could run faster caught up to some of the students.
