"Are you okay, Sayuri?" He posed a mechanical query.

"Yeah." She confirms.

Suguru is not looking at her because she can see that he is fixating on something else. The worm curse spirit that Toji had left behind; it approached him and made an effort to mutter something.

Suguru extended his hand to seize him in the form of a curse ball. With his eyes in such misery, he immediately swallowed it. The act of swallowing curses must taste awfully nasty for him. Sayuri couldn't bear to watch him like this.

There are so many non-sorcerers inside as they are leaving. Everyone is sneering as they observe them.

"Suguru, should we kill them all? I probably won't feel a thing right now." Satoru said, and he looks so defeated.

"No. There is no meaning in doing it at this time." He was assured by Suguru that they were non-sorcerers.

"Meaning, is that truly required?" Satoru turns to gaze at him.

"The most crucial aspect of being a sorcerer is to protect the weak." Suguru told him, yet it appears that he no longer even believes that.

Sayuri is able to sense the tension. They are both not in their right minds.

"Hey." They both looks at Sayuri as she spoke haltingly to them.

"Should we head home?"

........ .........

A few moments ago at the Tomb of the Star :

"Why are you so abnormal, boy?"

He was back in his childhood home with his father sitting in front of him, drinking. He is viewing the world through his younger self's eyes.

"He's not to blame, is he? Very likely, it runs in your family."

His father leaps up, sits, and throws the glass at his mother while she shouts at him.

Suguru decides that he had seen enough and left the residence. He doesn't know why he's experiencing these glimpses; is his life being flashed before his eyes as he's passing away?

"Suguru, I was waiting for you." A hand unexpectedly touches his shoulder as he is taking in his surroundings in the neighbourhood park.

Is she actually here? The long-lost friend of his?
Suguru looks at her. When he could finally see her face, he thought she is lovely and soothing.

"Are you alright?" She asked, tilting her head. He just nods.

"What? Did you forget my name?" She asked incredulously.

"I'm Sayuri"

Suguru experiences a chill throughout his body.
She has always had something that others did not,
therefore he was attracted to her from the start.

Of course it is Sayuri.

He spent a long time searching for her.

"Suguru, find me, find me."

He's having a hard time keeping his eyes open, but it's her.

He needs to help her because he saw her father hauling her out of the park. He has to keep her safe.

But his eyes are closing again.

His eyes open once more to see that he is with his father and an odd-looking old man in an unidentified compound.

Before leaving him with the elderly, his father said
"Thank you, Zenin-san. It's an honor to let my boy train here. I'll pick him up in the evening."

"Boy, take a look at our precious zenin complex; not everyone gets the opportunity."

He hears a scream as he is wandering around the compound.

"What exactly did you say?Shut the hell up, you're a girl."

She is being kicked by a boy who is not much older than him, and the girl is crying helplessly laying on the ground.

"Leave her alone or I'll curse you." He said summoning a curse.

The boy gave him a terrified look before running away.

He helps the girl to rise. She continues to sob.

"Here." He presents her with a tissue.

"Thank you. Please tell me your name."

She asked, attempting to hold back the tears.

"I am Getou Suguru. Nice to meet you." He told her, smiling consolingly.

"I'm grateful that you saved me, Getou-kun. I'm Akiko Zenin." The young girl informs him.

His father picked him up after a demanding training session that lasted all day. Before leaving, he told Akiko

"Try to defend yourself next time."

.......... ...........

He could sense someone's presence. His bones were aching so bad it was indescribable. To observe who is standing close to him, he tries to open his eyes.

"Dont worry, you'll be all right."

He initially believed it to be Shoko, but it is not, it seems.

"You!" In an effort to shout. The man who identified himself as Sayuri's father is here.

"I know reversed curse technique, so you're in luck."

He is speaking while grinning as he looks down at him.

"Why did you show me, exactly?"

Suguru realized the man gave his memories back.

"It is only fair that I show you, as I showed her."

"Don't worry," he said again as he stands up in the locomotion curse spirit.

"You and your friends won this time. But Getou-kun, I'll see you very soon."

"Try to nurture your true self more in the meantime."

He told him before floating out of the Tomb of the Star.
