Wait, whose voice is that?
Subuhi looks around the dungeon; nothing is there but the crushed corpses of hundreds of curses that are vanishing, dissipating, and liberating. She feels liberated. They are hoping she will save them. Take them. Free them.
Jogo says, "Store their cursed energies, you can do it." He is wise and, in contrast to Mahito, who kills without mercy, fights with a level head.
Subuhi steps towards the mangled victims, feeling the blood on her bare feet and experiencing stinging, curses, insanity, and most significantly, negative feelings. She observed their cursed energies attempting to escape their bodies. They seem to be waiting for something as they linger.
She reaches out a hand and the cursed energies envelop her as though they had found a new home, "I've come to free you," she says. A kind host. A new home. They claim negative energies, yet all she felt was warmth. Oh, the depth of their emotions. How many unspoken tales exist about the curses. She saw something strange when the curses began to disappear.
"A finger?" She looks closely and asks out loud. It's large, aged, and has long nails. It is unquestionably some sort of cursed item.
"A rotten finger, that is." Mahito stuck out his tongue to remark.
"Shut it, Mahito."
"I don't like my name."
"I am not fond of you either, Be quiet so I can concentrate."
Mahito pouts, a child of perhaps the same age as her. She shakes her head. How she manufactured them still baffles her. One day, she was conversing with Rika. She was told by Rika about her horrible grandmother, who used to torment her. She is deeply offended by that. She was unable to forget it. She was filled with such hate-so enormous that it took the form of curses.
They didn't have form previously, and from the way she observes the two curses arguing, she can't even tell if this is a typical cursed technique. God, she must see Six Eyes. He'll teach her. He knows everything there is to know.
She runs her finger over it gently, and as soon as she takes it up, visions burning in her eyes. A shrine adorned with human, animal, and other skulls. A man with fiery hair and eyes that could look right through her. That is unlike any eyes Subuhi has ever seen. Red as blood. Similar to the crimson moon. What feeling is she picking up from this man? Hatred? Regret? Love?
"I'll steal you, Princess."
Subuhi's heart pauses for a brief instant. His tone. Somewhere, she had heard the voice. That deep voice. She knows the familiar "princess" in that tone. However, how? She lets out a scream as her head is causing too much pain.
The dungeon door opens, and she is greeted by shocked guards who stare at her. She is familiar with some faces. They are the ones responsible for maintaining the clan compound. She bet that blondie bought them off. That's right, she's inside the Azai clan compound.
"The girl-"
Just when one of the guards is ready to yell, Mahito touches him. It all happened too quickly for the young girl to process. His eyes seem to be pleading to Subuhi, as though she is holding his death sentence. Horrified, she observes the man's transformation into a transfigured human as his soul crumbles. When they realised his fate, the other men yelled. Mahito outran them in their attempt to shut the gate. One by one, he touches them, transforming some into altered human beings and killing others outright.
"No," As human blood, not the purple blood she has seen so often, brushes her feet, she says. She took a human life. No. She did not.
"Mahito, come back." Mahito stops and looks at her while she screams at the top of her lungs. He then clicks his tongue, realising he's been pulled back to his rightful place. She absorbs them into her palms and converts them into the flame.
