The tension between them is palpable throughout the room. Everyone is silent. Akiko is looking between them, trying to read the situation. They are unable to tear their eyes away from one another. Guards are perplexed. Akiko clears her voice and orders them to report to their tasks.
The twins appear out of nowhere. They undoubtedly heard all the noise.
"Azai-sama, you're here."
Mimiko ran over and grabbed her leg as she approached.Sayuri gives her a big smile and smoothes her hair.
"I am here, Mimiko, and I won't go away."
The final phrase was directed at him.
Nanako gives her a timid smile.
"Take the girls to their room, Akiko." 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸. 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘺. He finally speaks while keeping his gaze fixed on Sayuri.
"And what will you discuss? Getou, you can't be serious. Do you genuinely trust her?" She asked.
"Do as I said." He said. His voice is terribly low but it is giving Sayuri the chills. She can tell Akiko is terrified just by glancing at her.
She exited the room with the twins after giving him a brief bow.
Sayuri is giving him a full body scan. She had no idea that she would find a monk attractive.
"Are you supposed to be a monk? Not that I mind."
"Shut up." Irritated, he murmured as he comes nearer to her. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦?
"So tell me now. Why exactly are you here?" He questioned directly as he fixed his gaze on hers. She couldn't currently respond to the many inquiries in his eyes. She mustn't tell the truth at any cost. He'll understand eventually.
"Getou-sama, I've already informed you. I want to be with you."
The memories from that night crawls back to him. He flinches a bit.
"Stop calling me that."
"Why? Are you turned on by that? Tilting her head, She asked. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘢.
He is looking at her as though he is about to murder her at any moment.
"This is the last time I'm asking you. Why-"
"Because I wish to eliminate non-sorcerers. Suguru, you are familiar with me. I can recall how they treated my mum and I. I want to fight for justice. Righteousness is a waste. The jujutsu world is fucked up. Together with you, I wish to make a world free of curses." She explained slowly.
He's keeping a close eye on her as he searches for any lies in her statements. 𝘈 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘺 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘦𝘤𝘩. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘵.
"Suguru, don't you believe in me?"
"I don't, no. You attended the jujutsu high school just yesterday. Why should I believe you?" He spoke while seated on the ground.
His eyes are closed, and he has his hand on his temple. Sayuri is experiencing an impulse that she doesn't understand - she wants to bend down and worship him.
