I was excited about seeing Emma. The girls were set to arrive at their place later this afternoon, but I had a few things I had to do at the studio before I could head home to get dress. I was hoping they would come by tonight and we could order take out, maybe even hang out by the pool. I had thought about asking if they wanted to stay at the house instead of renting somewhere, but I felt like Emma would think I was up to something, so I let it be. As I finished up a few things in the studio, I grabbed my keys and headed out to my truck. I heard my phone go off, so I got in the truck and opened my phone hoping it was Emma letting me know they were here early, but it wasn't her, it was Abigail.
Abigail: hey...Emma told us you knew we were coming to town and that we may be riding by tonight. I am excited to spend time with you and catch up;)
The winky face just seemed like it meant so much more to her than it ever would to me. Abigail is hot, but not Emma hot and I would not let her "petting" confuse Emma tonight. I really wanted to be a good friend to Emma and hopefully more eventually and I can't have Abigail messing things up. I don't know how to address this with Abigail though, without her getting upset and she is the kind to bash a man if they turn her down. So I try to respond the best I can without acknowledging just her, just incase she is reading her text out loud to the other girls.
me: excited to have ya'll in town. been looking forward to it!
There thats inclusive to everyone and not just yes, Abigail I would love for you to come over and fuck. Which is exactly what she wants. I pull out of the parking lot and head home to get ready for their hopeful arrival.
It was seven o'clock and I had not heard anything, I texted Emma to see if they had arrived.
me: hey! was hoping ya'll would be able to come over tonight, going to order some take out.
It only took a couple minutes, which felt like an eternity and she had replied.
Emma: yes! we are heading there now. send me the address again!
I send her the address. I order the take out and hang out in the living room, anxiously waiting to see my girl again, whether she realized it or not. It wasn't but twenty minutes later I heard a knock on the door. I walked over to open the door as two of the three girls start fall into the room and Emma just stands there with a half smile and laugh. Abigail and Lindsey had obviously been drinking. Emma begins to explain.
"The girls decided to start drinking a little early."
I smirk and reply, "of course you aren't the one drinking, always was the responsible one." I start ushering them in and point to the living room for them to have a seat and as we go in Emma stands beside me and I can smell her scent, something fruity, like a melon.
"Well, to be honest, I drunk pretty heavily after Tuck's death. If I wasn't running I was drinking. It was how I coped and not that I don't mind drinking I felt like I needed to be in my right mind tonight." She winked at me and I about fell at her knees. She knew she couldn't control herself around me. Dang where's the Tequila when you need it. "But Lindsey and Abigail were ready to get the party started." She laughed and it was so beautiful. "Luke, I love your house. I honestly was expecting some big mansion, but not at all, it's a small little farmhouse. This honestly would be what my dream home looks like. So, Joanna Gaines style." She was smiling ear to ear looking around. If she only knew that I wanted this to be her home one day, but we would take one step at a time. I would win her over eventually.
"Alrighty, party poopers. Where's the food?" Lindsey had chimed in and we all started to laugh.
"I ordered it about thirty minutes ago so it should be here any minute, then I figured we could hang out by the pool if ya'll wanted?"
