chapter 09

FLASHBACK

OH MY GOD!

Gathering the sheets around me , I ran towards the restroom. Looking at the mirror , I couldn't recognize myself.  My whole body is filled with hickeys and rough finger prints. I did not dare to turn around as I knew how bad it is going to be. Peeking from the restroom, I saw Mr Varad sleeping peacefully while snoring a bit.  Exhaustion is clearly visible in my eyes and in his intensity of snoring.  Dragging myself back, I sat at the end of the bed holding my head.

We are in the middle of conference,  when things escalated drastically between us . Looking back at him I bent down and kissed his cheek slightly. 

I don't regret the night we spent together!

Wait.

What is that smell??

Smelling him I went near his neck. Stroking his hair away, I held his shoulder in my hands trying to examine the area where I might have bit him hardly. Suddenly turning around , he opened his eyes looked at me with lazy smile and pulled me on to him.

" I love you to the moon and back , bottom, side, everywhere." With that said he kissed me again.

PRESENT DAY

" MAMA"  I heard someone shouting my name . With a jerk I woke up looked at my baby who has wide satisfied smile on his face.

Oh my God! He looks exactly like him!

" Helloooo good morning! Good sunshine! Good wind blows" I said blowing on his cute tummy to which he violently hit my head laughing loudly. It's going his one year birthday in two days.

" Oh! I don't want you to grow up little ball of happiness !." I said kissing him everywhere. He giggled letting me know that my cute man loves morning kisses just like his father.

"Mama-dada." He said making me smile.

"Yes yes! Your father is going to visit you my dear. Shall we go take bath now??." I asked to which he jumped in joy.  Wherever water is available my child just jumps in excitement to get wet.  I don't understand the fascination he has for water.  I might have given birth to mini Varad. 

Door bell range making Idhant run to door , he patiently tapped on the door shouting dada , opening it slowly I let him hold our son and pepper kisses all over his face.

"Why don't you give me your house keys?." He questioned as I dried my hair.

"I don't like you having my keys. Anyway this all being done behind everyone's back. Poor Idhant doesn't know his father meets him hiding from every single person in his life. " I replied curtly . It is harsh but truth is always hard to digest.  His hands clenched tightly looking at me with anger.

"If you hated me so much, why did you willingly sleep with me? Knowing I won't remember?." He asked.

My insides twisted. That same question!

"I never said I hated you, I didn't.  I can't.  Who knew you will forget about our moments? You don't even remember me Varad. If you think I took advantage of you, then I am glad i did.  If not I wouldn't have this beautiful blessing with me now. " I replied kissing my son who was more than excited. 

Leaving those two alone, I arranged my bag for work. Today I am working extra hours at gym to earn money for my son's birthday celebrations. Varad will contribute but I don't want from him who can't acknowledge his son's presence in public. 

"I booked a hall for his birthday. " He stated.

"Who is going to attend his party from your side?." I questioned to which he was extremely silent.

"Your best friend?." I asked him. 

"No one knows about him or me right? Why are you wasting money on it then? I prefer celebrating it minimally after all, when he looks back Idhant needs to know that his parents were there. " I said changing his clothes.

I could visibly see how frustrated he was with me. My son demands him to take out, which he won't. He will be hurt the way varad will treat him in the public. How many years he will hide him between these four walls?

"Why can't you speak with me normally if you don't hate me? Why do you have to challenge me? You hid your pregnancy from me, did not inform me that you visited my house. I fucking wouldn't have met my child if you hadn't sent that wrong message! Do you think it is easy for me? I have multinational company, many decisions of mine are directly linked to the company I run.  Accepting him publicly can cause more damage to him ,I want to protect you both. I want you safe and happy. Don't you think this matters to me?." He spoke with reddened face.

"There is more to your explanation. " I stated still not taking the bait. His shoulder slumped infront of me.  Loosening his tie, he took our son on to his lap.

"My family...it's not safe. I am trying my best ok? Give me some time. " He said stroking our son's hair. Idhant slept immediately snoring a bit.  Looking at him lovingly,  Varad kissed him gently.

"Look after him for a while if you don't mind? I will come back in 2hrs. Please don't hurt my son ." Stressing on last line, letting him know that i am giving him time .
