VARAD'S POV

I stood under clear sky, waves hit the shore in silence. My son Idhant was rolling the sand trying to imitate our puppy. We haven't named him, Oishani sat a bit away playing with the sand and a soft smile on her face looking at Idhant.

"What is eating you away?." I asked her. She looked at me shocked.

"Come on.  You open in bits. Do it now." I demanded.

"That sounds crazy." She replied. I looked at our son who was busy analyzing the sand and it's particles. My world runs around these two beautiful people. The fact that I don't remember her much nor knew what kind of pregnancy she went through or missing his milestones made me think what did I achieve in my life till now?

"You were present in that seminar. Wait a second! Do you know Shubham?." She questioned turning towards me.

Guess it's my time to tell a story.

"What if I say yes?." I replied. Her face held confusion.

" Why were you at his I mean to a conference where your requirement is not there? What does a businessman like you, can possibly find something there?." Oishani asked completely turning towards me.

"Get Idhant its getting hot. " I said looking at my son. My wife silently left me to get him back which was a great struggle. The new toddler wanted to explore and eat everything available to his eyes. Blaring sun made him look like small pack of tomato.

" Paaaa,, maaaa nai. Oshhh oshhhh." My son showed his anger by pointing finger at Oishani and ocean. He wanted me to take him to ocean. Which of course is the sea.

"Its a sea. Not ocean. By the way young man. Lay down here. It's 1pm already. Drink this juice." Oishani made him lie down with sipper. Looking at me she gestured for me to talk. I like how natural and casual she's with me now. The way she accepted me in her life again is miraculous.

" He was my sisters boyfriend. For a brief amount of time. I went to his conference to find out what exactly is he doing. I mean most of the health related sectors now do get profit by selling some shit or mixing unhealthy substances to make people gain faster results eventually causing more ill-health. He invited me actually after their break up. " I spoke as she looked at me.

"How come you know my sister or my family? She seems to recognize you both." I asked as Idhant burped loudly followed by giggling.

"One month post your accident, I came searching for you. Your parents didn't even care to listen but your sister stood outside your house waited patiently for me to explain. " I said. Didn't know my sister is patient enough to listen to some random without having any doubts. I held Oishani hand smiling at her. She just looked away.

"When I gave birth to him. I called your sister to inform. She visited me once or twice during my pregnancy journey. Was there holding my son after few weeks. Isha, your sister gave me your number to contact. I was hesitant Vashisth insisted that I inform you which I couldn't dare to do ." She spoke leaning on my shoulder.

" You couldn't trust me. Thought I knew about you two." I said.

" Assumed Isha might have told you. Clearly, she's not interested in communicating with you. " Oishani spoke chuckling a bit. I remained silent. Moments passed between us as we slowly lost ourselves in thoughts.  Idhant snored lightly as umbrella shade cooled his body. Love works in mysterious ways. No matter how many people want us to be apart if we are meant to be we will always follow back.

"Wait a minute!." Oishani sat straight.

" You told me Isha found you when you met with an accident. How come she could come to your location  when our conference was held in lonavala, a place which take few hours for anyone to reach." Oishani asked. I remained silent. It's still a mystery to me, I cant suspect her but something is not adding up.

" I like December." I said holding her close.

" Is Isha working with Shubam?." My wife asked looking at me. Does she? I don't know. I don't have answers for many things.

" I thought your parents were cancer survivors. " I said as she huffed.

" After the accident. They detected lung cancer in my dad and colon cancer for my mother during post mortem. Which were in early stages . I mean you kill someone and gain sympathy over their death too?." She scoffed.

" Aren't they?." I questioned her.

" What ? No! My parents? No. They had regular check ups, test done. I didn't care much after their death. It's a murder no matter what others say." She declared with tired voice.

" I saw my sister in the hotel lobby footage. Karan was her latest ex whom she left without informing just before my accident. I asked his help and he found her on the morning of my accident. I even saw you leaving the hotel premises early in the morning around 4.30 a.m. But then we have proof of you attending seminar while I met with an accident at the exact same time." I informed. Oishani looked at me with teary eyes probably her trauma was running back to her. Even a person like me can't take memories of painful past.

She touched my face lovingly. It is rare sight to see her showing emotions. Idhant stirred in his sleep looking at us. Patting his cute little bum I made him sleep.

" Don't leave us now." She whispered.

" Never." I replied.
