After Nebula's visit to Lewis at the Military Precinct, Lewis knew she had to put up with the Delirium act more now than before. She expressed several attributes similar to a crazy person on the street like pretending to hear the voices of the people she shot dead and pointing to invincible things in the air, begging them to leave her alone.
The result of her act was however not pleasant because she was thrown into the Military asylum.
The first thing she made sure to request for was a phone call to her Mother.
Jones wasn't too pleased to get a call from her but after hearing that Lewis was already at the Military asylum she decided to hear what she had to say.
"Some one came to see me before I left for the asylum. A female investigator from the Military Persecutor's office" she said.
"Wait, is this call being recorded?" Jones asked.
"No Mom. I'm not stupid, I already disconnected it" Lewis answered.
"Okay, so someone came to see you, what about it?" Jones asked.
"She was threatening me Mom. She wanted to know why I shot the trainees. She didn't seem like an investigator though Mom. I feel someone sent her to get information" Lewis said.
"Did you give her anything?" Jones asked.
"No Mom. I didn't" Lewis answered.
"Darn it, you have to start acting really crazy now, start showing signs of extreme madness" Jones said.
"But I already am, am I not? I am in a fucking asylum Mom. Isn't this enough already?" Lewis asked.
"Really? Have you ever seen a mentally ill patient have a proper conversation over the phone?!" Jones asked.
"Mom I already told you, it's not being recorded" Lewis said.
"There are eyes in there watching you Lewis. People who would be willing to testify that you're putting on an act so get your shit together and go crazy because that's the only way you can save yourself" Jones said.
"Fine, I've heard you. But Mom, do you know what's funny? You didn't even ask me if I'm alright. If I am holding up well, you didn't ask me that" Lewis said.
"Lewis, you killed people. Obviously you shouldn't be fine and that's what I'm trying to let you know" Jones said.
"And whose fault is that? Whose fault is it that those people died?" Lewis asked.
"I think we've discussed the important aspect of this call. Goodbye" Jones said and ended the call.
Lewis felt as though she was stabbed in the chest. She held the telephone in her hand and tried to stop herself from crying. But then she remembered that she had to act crazy anyway. So why not just let out all of her frustration?
She threw the telephone against the wall and let out a piercing scream like a banshee. The other crazy patients rushed towards her in dismay. Their only source of communicating with the outside world was destroyed with no hope of being replaced.
"What the bloody hell did you just do?!" one woman who looked like she was pregnant with a set of twins asked and rushed towards Lewis.
"Are you blind? What does it look like I just did?" Lewis asked.
"Wow, they said you lost your mind but I didn't believe it. I do now though but how 'bout I help you get it back huh?" the woman asked and grabbed Lewis by her hair.
That was obviously a wrong move from her because of several reasons. One was that while the woman was insane and struggling with anger issues, Lewis was sane and while the woman didn't have any atom of Military training other than serving food to trainees in the Military and then proceeding to poison a set of them who made fun of her, Lewis majored in combat and knew how to kick ass better than anyone else in her year.
