Asher pulls out of the driveway and heads downtown. We don't know where he's going but he seems to know where. In about forty minutes were there. Its an old abandoned house. It's looks ready to in cave on itself. We head in, Asher starts walking to a certain room and we all follow not knowing the place. He opens the door and grins. We look inside, and see a whole hangout space. It has chairs, a tv, video games, a fridge.

"You made all this?" I walk in amazed at how beautiful it was. He shook his head. The others were speechless.

"Theres more rooms so we can split them up and theres medical supplies if we need it." He smirks proudly taking a seat in one of the chairs. "Oh and a whole room of food I've stalked up and the food your mom brought were set to stay as long as we have to." He was so cute describing everything and looking out for me despite the risk.

"Thank you for taking such good of my daughter." My mom says wiping a tear off her cheek.

"Your welcome Ms. Barrow."

"Can you show me to my room?" She smiles grabbing pjs from her box she brought.

"Of course!" Asher shows my mom to her room. I look around at the place knowing this was going to be my new home for a while and maybe forever. I sit down and curl up into a ball trying not start crying again.

What about the others, they would have to kill off people they love, and here I was avoiding my fate. Was I the selfish one? Maybe I should turn myself in? But that would put my mom and friends at risk. I knew almost no one else so I don't see how they could get their five rounds out of me.

My thoughts stop abruptly when Asher comes back in. "I already showed Ruth and Levi to their room. If you want we could share or theres another room." I definitely did not want to be alone right now.

"I'd like to share one." I got up and hugged him "Thank you for being so nice to me and so thoughtful."

"Hey no problem I would never leave to alone to go through this by yourself." God I loved his smile and his cute dimples. I loved everything about him. He was perfect.

He walked over to me and laid down beside me. I snuggled up next to him, as he wrapped his arms around me. We cuddled all the time but this felt different.

"What about the others Ashy what happens to them" I look up at him.

"Try not to let your mind go there its not your fault." He plays with my hair while telling me.

"What if we save them."

"No use now all of them have been rounded up all there looking for is us now."

"How do you know?"

"I get alerts from one of my old friends."

"Oh whats their name?" I sit up, curious of who this person is."

"His names Dominic, I think you met him before" He pulls up a picture of him. He had black curly hair and piercings. He had some facial hair and looked familiar.

"Cool, he seems nice." I smile up cuddling closer. His warmth surrounding me. I so badly wanted to kiss him, I've liked him for a while now but im too nervous to tell him.

"Well we should probably get some sleep." He wrapped me in a blanket. He laid there watching over me.

The next morning, I woke up to see Asher in the mini kitchen and everyone in the room. They were all in a circle playing a card game. I yawned as I sat up.

"Good morning Iris." Levi looks up from his Uno cards grinning. I got up and walked over sitting next to him.

"Ill play next round."

"Ok It'll be over soon Im about to win!" Levi shows me his cards, as he has puts another card down yelling "UNO!"

After a minute it was back to Levi as he throws down his last card.

"Breakfast is ready." Asher turns around, his hairs still messy. He has two plates in his hand one has a huge stack of pancakes the other one has bacon and sausage. He sets the plates on the table.

I grabbed the bowl that had eggs in it and some cups. Everyone sat down to eat. I got water for everyone.

After we were done eating I helped Asher collect the dishes and help clean them. All of a sudden theres a knock at the door. We all freeze scared on who it is.

Asher tells us to hid behind stuff as he grabs the still hot pan he used to cook. He looks through a small crack in the door then sighs in relief opening the door.
