I was the first to wake up, it was 7:00 am. They were all so peaceful so I decided to let them sleep in. We could spread the message later. I went to the kitchen and cooked up breakfast. I made fluffy pancakes and sausage to go with them.
Taking the time to read more of her notes and draft some speeches to help us. I kept messing up, I felt as if maybe her words were to pure to convey. After an hour I finally got something I liked.
"To the people of this city. We've dealt with pain and violence. Betrayal and bloodshed. I for one am sick of it! So are others! And I'm sure you are too! I've seen the other side of the wall. Heard it's stories and experienced a story like none other. So please I ask of you to join me, join us, and join the people who've dealt with the abuse they've given us! So from us to you, will you end generations of pain! We will be having a meeting at the school Saturday if you choose to participate in this generation's revolution!"
I went to the copier and made one for each of us. The copies were done so I put them in my bag taking the breakfast I had made to them and waking them up.
Asher groaned while waking up and stretching. His back hurt from sleeping on the floor. Levi and Dominic were easy to wake up while Ruth refused to. She kept rolling back over.
"Ruthie you have to get up we have a busy day planned." I shook her arm. Still asleep Asher got some water and poured it on her. She shot up and glared at him.
"You wouldn't wake up I had to." He said handing her breakfast hoping she wouldn't stay mad at him.
She rolled her eyes snatching the breakfast. Everyone ate theres and started to get ready. We put on huge hoodies and flipped the hood up. Next we grabbed our masks putting those on. I handed everyone the script.
"We each should take a small part of the city to get the message out faster, Ruth do you still have those walkie talkies you used as a kid?" I asked.
"Yea why?"
"If we get into any trouble call on the walkie talkie, we can go from there with a plan." We were finally ready. Ruth gave us all the walkie talkie before we went out.
I decided to go to the school, I don't know how many people would be there but it would be enough. Once I got to the school I scaled the building.
"Everyone gather round! I have news!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. It attracted a pretty big crowd of people.
The people had various reactions to my speech. Some looked as if they were gonna help out any way they could. A few looked at me as if I was crazy.
As I finished people cheered. Hopefully they would help. I bowed not knowing what to do. Ive never done anything like this ever.
After bowing I climbed off the school and went to my next location. We each picked to do three. Mine next one was the coffee shop. So far no one called on the walkie talkie so hopefully there's went as smoothly as mine.
I got to the coffee shop but not a lot of people were there. Next store there was a gym that was also busy so I went there first.
"I have a speech to give at the coffee shop please come and listen!" A lot of them followed me out. I went back to the coffee shop and stood on the rail.
I gave my speech again almost finished the walkie came started talking. I quickly picked it up.
"What happened?" My stomach tightened what if they were captured?
"Um I cant tell but I think I heard the gate open we might want to go!" Asher sounded nervous.
"Sorry guys to cut my speech short just theres a small inconvenience. Please be safe we think the government is here now!"
I hopped of the rail and ran back to Ruths house. There Levi was already there sitting on the floor.
"Hey you ok?" I asked him
"Oh yeah im fine I got all three of my places done. What about you?"
"Im good, I got two before Asher informed us they were here." I sat next to Levi smiling. I didn't want to make us even more anxious.
"We probably should start to find a different place to find. It won't be the first place but it will be one of them they check. I suggest we go back to the other city and stay in one of those." Levi looked at me and smiled back we both calmed each other.
The others just got back and we told them the plan. We all agreed and went out the back door running back to the other city. We went back to the ladies house we were in.
