Chapter X

Cloud's POV:

"Let's break up."

Parang may time bomb yung puso ko, ang bilis ng tibok nito. Bawat pitik ay ang bawat segundong nakalipas mula ng bitawan niya ang salitang kinatatakot ko.

"H-ha?" Nauutal ang labi ko, ni hindi ko alam ang dapat na mamutawi roon. Ni hindi ko alam kung anong dapat na isipin ng utak ko.

Sabi nila, utak ang dapat na paganahin pag nakakaranas ng break up. Pero bakit hindi gumagana ang utak ko sa oras na to?

"I said we need to break up." Ulit niya.

The time has come, the bomb has exploded. Para akong nabingi.

Kumunot ang noo ko at sinubukang lapitan siya ngunit umatras lamang ito, indikasyon na ayaw niya lumapit ako sakanya.

Ubos na ba ang swerte ko?

"Why? What happened?" I said helplessly. Sa dinami-daming gustong gawin ng katawan ko, tumunganga lang at kaawa-awang tumingin lang kay Hestia.

"Ayaw ko ng lokohin pa ang sarili ko at paniwalaing may nararamdaman pa ako sayo." Aray!

Pinilit kong tumindig ng maayos, pinilit kong balewalain ang mga mumunting karayom na tumutusok sa puso ko. I stood there ready to fight the battle I've already lost.

"Since when?"

Bahagyang tumingala ito and pinched the bridge of her nose. She sighed.

"Last week." Sagot niya.

"Is this because of Hugo?" Lakas loob kong tanong.

Her gaze became dark and I've never seen her like that before, it made me actually scared. Napaatras ako ng ka-onti.

"Don't drag Hugo into this." She said through her gritted teeth. "This has nothing to do with him."

Another stab in the heart. Fuck!

"What happened to us? I thought we were inlove." Akala ko lang pala iyon.

It was good while it lasted. Now it's bad that it ended. Paano ba i-express ang feelings? I've never been in this situation before. Hestia is my first ever love.

Gusto kong magwala, sumbatan siya, murahin siya pero wala. All I did was stare at her lovingly, helplessly.

"I fell inlove with you so desperately fast." She said, her beautiful face was void with emotion. "And now my feelings are fading, I'm really sorry, Avery."

That's the first time she said my second name and probably the last.

She didn't even let me react as she turned around gracefully and started to walk away from me leaving me staring at her gorgeous back.

"What about how I feel?"

I muttered under my breath and sighed. Well, it is what it is, I guess. The love whom I cherished just walked out of my life and I couldn't even do anything about it.

I helplessly stared at her car leaving me completely alone.

"I love you." I whispered through the air.

Why did I even bother assuming that I can make the great bitch Hestia Cybil Dela Frontera fall in love with someone like me?

When she's out of my sight, my eyes landed on the motorbike she gave me.

"What am I gonna do with you?"

"You should probably sell that." Nagulat ako nang may magsalita sa likod ko.
