Chapter XI

Hestia's POV: 

(The night after the break up. Thought it makes sense to add this scene.)

Bumalik ako ng mansion dahil tinawagan ako ni Alison at may importante raw kaming pag uusapan. Kasalukuyan kaming nasa pool area ng mansion, kasama ko si Vera habang hinihintay si Alison.

"I'm gonna commend Cloud's tolerance level of pain ha." Biglang salita ni Alison sa likod ko while Vera sits on a lounger dahil sa pagod nito sa byahe.

Kumunot naman ang noo ko sa binanggit ni Alison. I looked at her,

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Well," Alison sat beside Vera's lounger, "I heard you broke up with her earlier." She casually said and started to put lotion on her skin. Gabing gabi na eh saka pa nila naisipang mag swimming.

Sabagay, we didn't get the chance to swim when we were at the beach due to some conflicts.

"Kanino mo naman narinig ang balitang yan?" I asked despite the obvious shock I have on my face. I never told any of my friends about the break up yet.

Did Cloud tell them?

"No, she didn't tell me." Alison chuckled, reading the obvious question on my mind. "I told you, I heard it."

Parang wala namang pakialam si Vera sa usapan naming dalawa at prenteng nakahiga lang ito at nakapikit habang himas himas ang lumulubo na nitong tyan. Malapit lapit na din naman ang due nito

"You were snooping?" I accused.

"Guilty."

"Fuck you."

"Aubrey's been doing a great job in that matter. So, no thank you." Alison chuckled again.

Napaismid naman ako sa narinig. But there's something I wanted to know about what she said.

"Can we go back to what you said earlier?" I asked again, referring to what Alison told a while ago.

Alison smiled, "If someone is broken, they tend to get away with it with an outlet."

"Outlet?"

"Yes, something or someone they can vent onto. Or better yet, they tend to vanish and self destruct."

"People do that?" I asked, genuinely confused.

"You must have forgotten Andrei, huh." Alison reminded. At the mention of Vera's wife, Vera looked at the both of us, confused.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Remember when she thought Vera and her ex boyfriend got back together? She freaking vanished."

There was an 'oh' in my lips as I started to understand her point, while Vera rolled her eyes remembering how stupid that was.

"Just get to your point." Naiiritang utos ko as I felt like I was being talked around the bush.

"I'm saying, she must be madly, deeply in love with you to be still around after you broke her heart with no apparent reason."

No apparent reason? Is falling out of love not a valid reason enough?

"We just broke up earlier. What are you talking about?" Naguguluhang tanong ko.

Alison laid down the lounger and closed her eyes. There was a quiet moment and the only sound you can hear is the sound of crickets and peaceful evening breeze.

Hindi naman gaanong kalamig ngayon. I crossed my arms against my chest.

"Oh, forgot to mention, before she went home earlier. She told us she's going to win you back."
