Chapter XXV

"You found her?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ni Hera sa pinsan ng minsang magkatagpo ang mga ito sa mansion.

Hestia is just peacefully eating her morning cravings when Hera barged in unannounced and the first thing she said is that question. Hestia rolled her eyes.

"I did." Walang ganang sagot niya.

"And what are you doing here?" Tanong pa ni Hera dahil hindi ito makapaniwalang wala man lang ginagawang hakbang si Hestia para kunin si Cloud.

"Eating." She stated the obvious.

Hera sighed exasperatedly and stared at Hestia with tired eyes. God damn, hindi talaga niya mahuli ang likaw ng utak ng pinsan!

"If you're thinking I left her there without doing anything. Think again, Hera." Pinutol ni Hestia ang anumang sasabihin ng pinsan. She finished her food and put it in the sink.

Nalilito si Hera sa inaasta ni Hestia. She followed her to the living room.

"What do you mean?"

Hestia smirked. "I'm just letting her enjoy her 'vacation' and that child."

Kumunot ang noo ni Hera, "You knew?" She asked because she had a hunch Hestia is on to something.

"Of course. Did you forget who I am, dear cousin?" She raised her eyebrow at her and smirked. "Cloud will be here as soon as I set foot on that land." May paninindigang saad nito. "Crazy me for thinking that piece of document is legit. No worries, I made sure to make that doctor suffer."

Hera got excited dahil mangyayari ang pinaplano niya. Sana lang ay malakas ang loob ni Nicole sa pag dating ni Hestia.

"I'm taking what's mine." Hestia smiled at Hera and she got goosebumps all over her body. Para bang pinag babantaan siya nito sa paraan ng pagkaka ngiti niya.

Pilit na ngumiti si Hera saka tumabi kay Hestia at inakbayan ito.

That day when she found Cloud and left her— that's the same day her investigator informed her about the fraud. So, the first thing she did when she got back in her mansion is to buy that hospital and fire all of the doctors and staff responsible for that DNA test. The she hired the ones she could trust and make sure no one will be ever feel the same way she felt.

She was about to go back to Cloud but thought better. She's not gonna go in without preparing herself. She won't let impulsiveness ruin her again. She was an organized woman and she got everything under control.

What really makes her wonder now is why did Cloud let that woman take her? Di bale na, pasasaan ba't babalik din siya sakanya?

"When are you planning to go there?" Hera asked. Nagulat pa si Hestia ng bigla itong magsalita sa tabi niya. She already forgot Hera is there.

"Soon."

Cloud is peacefully drinking her coffee after she chopped some woods earlier. Nakaupo ito ngayon at nagpapahinga. She's just staring at the sea and is in deep thought.

Kailan nga ba siya pwedeng umalis sa lugar na ito? At ano nga ba ang binabalak ni Hera? Kamusta na nga ba si Hestia sa France? Naiisip kaya siya nito?

"Maybe not." Mapait na bulong niya.

She must be busy with our child that she already forgotten about me. Hindi nga siguro ganon katatag ang pagmamahal niya sakanya. She must be living her life in France samantalang ako, heto at nagluluksa pa din sa paghihiwalay naming dalawa.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Nagulat siya sa taong biglang nagsalita sa likod niya. Agad na tumayo ito at dahil doon ay nabitiwan niya ang mug but that's the least of her concerns, right now.
