Chapter XXIII

Third Person's POV:

2 Months after...

"No, no, no, Hestia! Listen to me, please!" Pilit na hinahawakan ni Cloud ang nagmamadaling si Hestia. She doesn't want to hear any words from this person who betrayed her after everything that's done!

Cloud tried her best to grabbed Hestia's hand without hurting her pero bigo ito.

"Hestia, please, listen to me." Tumulo na ang luha sa mga mata nitong kanina pa niya pilit pinipigilan. "It's not what you think! I didn't do it, wala akong alam dito!" Ngunit parang bingi ang kausap at patuloy lamang sa paglakad takbo patungo sa kotse nito.

Hestia is crying too, her heart is crying. And she couldn't bare to look at the woman she loved knowing she betrayed her.

"Babe, please." Cloud took the chance to hug Hestia from behind and never wanting to let go. Hestia fumbled her keys but couldn't find the strength to push the button to open the door.

"Let go." Her voice was hoarse and low. "Let me go." Ulit nito at pilit inaalis ang yakap ni Cloud sakanya. But Cloud is too strong.

"No. Listen to me, please. I have no knowledge about this. I was clean, Hestia. I didn't know how—"

"So you're telling me this was all an accident?!" Hestia finally let her rage out. With one last push, she successfully broke out of the hug and face Cloud with undying hatred, pain, anger— all that emotion in one stare. She hates hating this woman but it is all she could feel towards her now.

"Ni hindi ko kilala ang babaeng yun, Hestia! I told you I was clean! She must be some random chick who wants our relationship ruined!" Lumapit si Cloud at balak yakapin si Hestia.

"No! Don't take another step, Sandoval or I will ruin you." She warned. Itinapon nito ang envelope sa sahig, at nagkalat ang mga laman nito sa loob. Cloud looked at the papers and frowned.

She picked it up one by one and was confused every second passed.

DNA test result?

Alleged Father: Cloud Avery Sandoval
Child: Rain Sandoval

Result Statement:
The alleged father cannot be excluded as the biological father of the tested child. Based on the analysis of STR loci listed above, the probability of paternity is 99.99999999%.

"What the—" Hindi makapaniwalang sambit niya sa mga nababasa.

Her heart pounded hard against her chest and tried to recall any scenarios that had happened few months back but nothing. She got nothing because she knows she haven't done anything except for kissing and making out and that's just that. No more.

Cloud's tear clouded eyes looked up at Hestia's pained one.

"No, this is not true." Pagmamakaawa niya. "Believe me. I don't know how pero papatunayan kong hindi ito totoo."

Hestia shook her head in disbelief, she couldn't understand why Cloud is so desperate to come clean when all the evidence is here and true.

"You have a family of your own, Cloud. You don't need me, anymore." She said, her voice was cold and unforgiving.

Cloud desperately kneeled in front of Hestia and hugged her legs dahil hindi na nito alam ang gagawin. She could swear in her mother's grave that she didn't do anything further than kissing.

She begged and cried but the level of pain and disappointment in Hestia's chest couldn't save the love she have for Cloud. She needed to let go.

"Please, my love. Listen to me." She sniffed.
