Chapter 4: The First Phase part 1

My pov:

An alarm rings throughout the tunnel as the wall opens presenting an examiner with pink hair with a moustache and no visible mouth standing tall.

Sei and I recognized him, it was Satotz. The first phase examiner.

" Sorry for the wait, The 287th hunter Exam starts now " he said

As he explains about the Hunter Exam, I couldn't help but feel excited as I am close to seeing Killua again.

" The 407 Hunter examinees, please follow me. " Satotz said as he began to walk in inhuman like steps.

This will be easy for me and Sei since we've trained for years for this.

Me, Sei, Gon, Kurapika and Leorio started walking. But after a second, people on the front started running.

" Huh? The people in the front fastened their pace. " Leorio said as we turned our walking into running.

" Yeah " Gon said, as he began running as well.

2 HOURS LATER

By now, 1/4 of all the examinees have dropped out. Most of the normal people are slowly reaching their limits.

Gon, Kurapika, Sei and I have kept a constant pace for the most part while Leorio's energy is slowly being depleted.

" Hey Y/n, it'd be easier for him to run if he didn't wear a suit " Sei whispers to me.

From the corner of my eye, I see a white haired boy passing by fast on a skateboard.

Oh my gosh!! It's time. It's happening, he's here!! My white-haired Prince is here!!!

" Hey! wait up, kid! " Leorio exclaims. No wonder why he looks old, he's always angry about something.

" He's like a Karen " Sei comments next to me as I try to stifle a laugh.

" We better get out of Killua's sight and let his fateful meeting with Gon unfold " I said.

" Agreed " Sei and I moved somewhere in the crowd where we could still see them.

" Hmm? " Killua responds.

" Why are you using a skateboard? That's cheating! " Leorio points out, anger rising out of him.

" Why? " Killua asks nonchalantly.

" Why... This is an endurance test! " Leorio answers back, fuming.

" No it isn't. " Gon butts in, Leorio kept rambling on to Gon.

" The examiner just said to follow him, he didn't say how " Gon continued and Leorio glared at him, giving out to Gon for not being on his side.

Meanwhile, Killua slowed down slightly and move over to where Gon were.

" Hey, how old are you? " Killua asked Gon.

Oh my god!!! The scene where their friendship formed!!

" I'm 12 years old " Gon said enthusiastically.

Killua then did a trick with his skateboard, flipping into the air while catching it with his hand and running alongside with Gon.

" Guess, I'll run too. " He stated in a cool way.

" Amazing, that was so cool! " Gon said to Killua as he speed up to run at his side.

" I'm Killua " he introduced himself as he kept running at a fast pace.

" I'm Gon " Gon cheerfully said while smiling at the silver-haired boy.

I feel tears of joy running down my face.
