Chapter 13: The Third Phase part 5

Third person pov:

Everyone at the dinner table was rather... Lively. The younger children along with Gon and Killua ate their food rather messily or wolfing it down as Leorio scolded them for not having any table manners.

Meanwhile the older ones along with Sei, Y/n and Kurapika ate with elegance. Kurapika couldn't help but smile at the sight. Knowing that he would have such a big happy family with the girl he loves in the future made him happy.

" Hey mom " Fei Wu spoke up.

" What is it, Fei Wu? " Y/n responded.

" How come you have more kids with Kurapika than the other husbands? " Fei Wu said.

Everyone on the dinner table became silent. Fei Ling then lightly smacked her brother's head.

" Idiot, you're supposed to ask that question to the future Mom not the past Mom " Fei Ling scolded.

" It is strange... " Y/n said " Why do I have more kids with Kurapika than with the other husbands? "

" Please allow me to enlighten everyone, Mother " Rhaenyra asked.

She places down her knife and fork and lightly wiped her mouth with a table napkin.

" You see, Mother... " Rhaenyra began " Father was rather skilled in paperwork and politics which allowed both of you to have more intimate moments thus having more children "

After hearing that, Y/n could feel her face getting hot while Kurapika's scarlet eyes activated as his face went red.

" I-I see... " Y/n said.

Y/n could smell Gon and Killua's jealousy growing.

" Y/n! I'll do my best to learn how to do politics and paperwork! " Killua said.

" Me too, Y/n-san! " Gon says determined.

" It's quite alright, boys " she told them " I'm pretty sure I can handle it "

After the meal, the children all head back to their timelines. Y/n and Sei used the magic to clean up the mess.

They all sat down on the couches and Kurapika spoke up.

" Y/n, Sei... I've been meaning to ask, what happened to the two of you during the night of the massacre? "

My pov:

Sei and I looked at each other with an uneasy look and cold sweats on our temples.

" Well... " Sei began nervously.

" We... "

" We fought the Phantom Troupe and ended up making a deal with them to keep the other Kurtas safe " Sei and I admitted at the same time.

The boys stare at us for a short while before yelling in shock.

" YOU FOUGHT THE PHANTOM TROUPE?!! " Leorio exclaimed.

" Yep... " Sei answered.

" What kind of deal did you two make? " Gon asks curiously.

" That we would stay with them for 2 years and once the 2 years are up, they'll never harm any of the Kurtas ever again " I replied.

" How would you know that they'll keep their end of the deal? " Killua questioned.

" We used our magic to form the deal which rendered the deal unbreakable " Sei explained.

We can't let Kurapika know that we allied with the spiders so we could both kill Pariston or else he'll think that we're his enemies as well...

I wish I could tell Kurapika that his true enemy isn't the spiders but Pariston. If I did told him that Pariston is his true enemy and not the spiders then the Yorknew Arc might not happen and we needed this Arc to happen since it helped our Protagonists grow just like in the other arcs.

But I'm going to change a few things in the Chimera ant Arc. Like saving Kite, Ponzu and Pokkle, Gon not losing his Nen and preventing the deaths of Meruem and Komugi.

Pitou's not really bad though so I'll have to come up with a plan to keep her alive.

Kurapika was silent for a bit, then I smelled his anger rising and his Scarlet eyes activating.

" Did they hurt you both? " He asks with a low and dangerous voice.

" No, they didn't do anything to us! " Sei said frantically.

" They treated us rather nicely while we were with them " I said, trying to calm him down.

" It actually turns out that two of the spiders are actually Y/n's godfathers so we were perfectly fine " Sei said.

" EH?!!!! " The boys exclaimed.

" Y/N HAS GODFATHERS WITHIN THE PHANTOM TROUPE?!! "

Damnit Sei!! We weren't supposed to tell them that!!!

" Well... My dad met my godfathers before the Phantom Troupe was even formed. " I explained " My dad used to talk to them about his dream of having a daughter and that he would want them to be her grandfathers "

Everyone soon went silent and I could tell that Kurapika is feeling conflicted with his emotions.

I gently took his hand into mine and said.

" Kurapika, I know you're feeling conflicted but... "

I'll give him a few hints on who his true enemy is. I don't wanna lose Kurapika...

" During me and Sei's stay with the spiders... I have a feeling that they may not be your true enemy " I said.

" What do you mean? " Kurapika asks, lightly surprised.

" During our stay with the spiders, we found out that they wanted to avenge a childhood friend of theirs but the person they're trying to reach was someone with powerful connections within the black market thus making them massacre the Kurtas for their eyes in order to reach their friend's killer " I said.

Sei seemed to understand what I'm trying to do so she spoke up.

" We're not quite sure who it is they're trying to find but a gut feeling tells us that the person must be a nasty rat "

Yeah... A very very nasty rat.

I can smell that Kurapika was feeling less conflicted which made me mentally sigh in relief.

Third person pov:

Later at night, Everyone went to sleep except for Kurapika. He lay on his bed thinking.

Kurapika's pov:

Y/n and Sei are the nicest people I know. Y/n may be the goddaughter of the people I despise but she's not like them at all and so is Sei...

But how can I be sure that I can trust her or Sei?

I suddenly heard Y/n sniffling so I checked on her and saw that she's having a nightmare as she was crying in her sleep.

I gently pet her hair in an effort to comfort her which worked and soon she was snoring softly.

What am I doing? Y/n is my fiancee and Sei is my friend. How could I doubt them after they risked their lives to save half of my clan?
