Nicola's POV
"Ok so I left the schedule on the wall if there's any trouble I would normally say iris message me but I don't think there's very good service down there so just ask for help if you need it" I was rambling I was so nervous about leaving Will in charge not because I didn't think he could do it but because of the tension at camp right now was only a bout to get a whole lot worse once we left and it was just a lot of pressure to put on my little brother and I'm worrying.
"I'll be fine I promise" Will said honestly I should have been the one saying that. "I know it's just I remember running the cabin at 14 and it wa-" I started to say then started getting dragged out by Jasper. "It's three campers I think he can handle it" jasper said trying to reassure me.
I looked back and saw Will laughing at me which honestly I think was the best goodbye I could have gotten.
Jasper practically had to drag me all the way to the van at the top of the hill. Once we were all thre Chiron came to wish us goodbye "have you all said your goodbyes" Chiron asked and it kind of sunk in a little what he meant. "I'm not sure how long you will be gone now is your last change to say goodbye to someone go now" he said and I took off back towards the cabins.
As I ran past cabin 7 Kayla was sitting on the porch "back so soon" she said as I passed "go to bed" I said as I kept walking I heard her yell back "your not even in charge" which made me chuckle.
I ran up the steps to cabin 9 and knocked on the door a minute later Beckendorf opened the door "oh it's you" I said "thanks" he replied "no wait I didn't mean that" I said I don't think he actually cared. Leo came out a few seconds later rubbing his eyes "where you actually sleeping for once" I joked "yeah why what's wrong" he asked.
"Does something always have to be worng for me to come see you?" I asked he was right though "usually yes also I can see the tears in you eyes" he replied.
"I wanted to tell you so you didn't think I just disappeared" I said "we have to go to Tartarus" I mumbled the last word "WHAT WHY" he asked Tartarus was kinda touchy subject for anyone at camp but it was especially tough for Leo because everyone saw first hand what that place does to people when Percy and Annabeth got back. "It's the prophecy and technically we aren't supposed to know this part but the gods are meeting which means it may be a lot more then just Bea" I explained I was rambling till he cut me off.
"I don't think you should go" he said "I don't really have a choice" I said I waited for a reply but I don't think he knew what to say "I just wanted to say bye you're like the only person at camp who knows we are leaving" I said trying to hold back my tears.
He pulled me into a hug "don't die" he joked I could hear he was crying "is now really the best time to joke about that" I said "yes" he replied. I pulled away "stop crying you're gonna make me cry" I said.
"Everything okay out here" Beckendorf peeked his head out the door "yeah fine just uhh everything's fine" i said trying to help Leo stop crying. "You're leaving?" Charlie asked "yeah but technically neither of you should know that" I said.
"Think it's actually Luke?" He asked "I hope not" I replied then he went back Into the cabin. I put my hands on Leo's face "I gotta go I'm sorry" I said letting go.
He pulled me into to a kiss "you couldn't have waited till you stopped crying to do that" I joked then ran down the stairs to get back to the van before I was left behind.
On the walk back I passed cabin 6 and saw two people standing on the front porch as I got closer I saw it was Liana and Janvi and Janvi was crying.
I walked up the steps "Everything good" I asked "yeah just goodbyes" Lia said. "Goodbyes mean an end I like to say see you later" I said to try and help a bit "see you later" Janvi said through tears and gave Lia a hug. I helped her walk down the stairs and towards the van. On the way Jasper caught up to us "hey ready for another road trip" he said with fake enthusiasm I motioned towards Janvi and he realized she was crying.
