March 7th 2012 (1am ish)
The shadow overtook my entire line of visom and in a last ditch attempt to protect myself I held my sword in front of me as I feel to the ground and clenched my eyes shut
I could hear whatever the creature was breathing and panting but was to scared to open my eyes, suddenly I felt my sword get taken from my hands and land in the dirt next to me
"Bad dog get off him" shouted a girl I felt so thankful realizing who it was, I got up and went over to pick up my sword which Nero had thrown pretty far
"Janvi you scared me half to death I thought He was trying to kill me" I said letting out a sigh of relief
"Why! Nero would never he's just a puppy" Janvi replied giving Nero some head pats
"He's not a puppy he's a literal hellhound yknow like a demon also still don't think dad would be to happy to know you named it Nero"
"I think we have bigger issues right now" Janvi said changing the topic, it was nice seeing her back at camp she had left for school back in September and she told me Nero basically kidnapped her to come back her about an hour ago which meant that our worst fears were probably true, if even a friendly monster could sense the boarder is down then any of them probably could.
"how bad are things here rigth now?" janvi asked, i really wished i coudve told her better news, i wish i couldve told her the Athena cabin had a plan or we were expecting this but i just blurted out the truth
"I was going to ask you that all we know is theres a lot of monsters and the Chimera and still no one can get anserwers from our parents so we are on our own" saying that made me feel like i was back in manhattan as a kid being told the war had started and there was no help, i felt horrible knowing how it felt to be late to the figth and now i was having to tell my little sister her home was in danger and i didnt know what to do,
im the head coucler i should know what to do, i should know how to help or at least how to protect my siblings but i was just as scared and confused and everyone else.
"what can i do to help" janvi asked
"Either pick up a weapon or find a dam good hiding place" the words rung in my ear as i said it i could hear Percys voice saying the same thing on that day in manhattan. she nodded and truned back to Nero, dispite how much i was terrified of it i really hoped no one would hurt him, i was mostly worried someone would confuse him or a different hellhoud and try to kill him.
"janvi don't move" i yelled as i heard footsteps coming up from behind me, we both froze and the footsteps stoped
i looked at my sister and she was terrified with tears in her eyes
"C H I M E R A" she mouthed and pointed behind me trying not to make any noise
i gestured back at Nero then put 3 fingers in the air to count down, Janvi seemed to understand
3...2...1
the next ten seconds were filled with a lot of screaming, black fog or shaddows filled the air as Janvi screamed for Nero to shadow travel, and the worst was the flames that flew towards us as we desovled into shadows.
when we reappeared we were in the infirmary, thank the gods because i immediately threw up and almost fainted but caught myself on a chair.
