"Jake!?" I cried out trying to porp myself on my elbows to try and understand where i was. Questions flooded my mind. Why is Jake here? Why is it so hot in here?, where's Leo and Calypso.
"Woah don't sit up..uhh just don't move you're safe you're fine" Jake insisted
"Wheres L-
"He right over there" Jake replied his tone seemed annoyed, and he clearly wasn't going to let me get up (curse me for teaching Jake to not let injured people move)
"Where am I" i asked hoping he would finally give me a straight answer for once
"I will tell you..just dont panic or whatever" he replied fidgeting with his shirt collar
Thena voice rang through the room so loud it sent a shiver up my spine
"Jacob is the boy alive" the message of the question sounded nice but the tone was stone cold and monotone.
"Yeah dad he's fine..Nico stop crying" Jake yelled out and i did not stop crying, i sat up and stumbled backwards until my back smacked against a wall
"We're in your dads workshop!" i screamed, Leo ran over so fast i didnt even see where he'd come from
"No no no no no no...well i mean yes we are but it's fine don't freak out" Leo told me pulling me into a hug, he shot a glance at jake "you said you had this under control" leo then turned back to me "this was my plan"
"Your plan was to call your dad" i asked
"Well we couldn't exactly call yours" Leo snarkily replied "don't worry i already told him about our quest"
"How did that go..." as far as i remember Hephaestus didn't have the best relationship with his mother Hera so telling him about our quest he might just send us back up to where we came from to deal with the pirate clowns
"It's rude to talk about others when they are in the room" I didn't have to wonder for long who said that because leo was with me, Jake was a few feet away and that was definitely not Calypso's voice which only left one other option
"Im sorry im sorry" i replied, leo looked at me and asked why i was being so dramatic but in my opinion i was reacting accordingly, the only other times i've met Leo's dad were a) Right before i left with luke up on Olympus to go for a walk to calm down and Luke stole the lighting bolt. b) after the battle of manhattan when i was not only mourning my siblings but almost got killed by a nymph feeding me a mint pastry.
I'd never actually had a conversation with him without being in the middle of a mental breakdown and I definitely didn't want to be here knowing that my ex (HIS OTHER KID) was also here. "I'm just so confused and fairly certain im getting multiple first degree burns just sitting here"
"More than you have?" The god...jokes? Out of all the things that have happened to me today being roasted by a god really took first place
"Sorry?" I asked which made Leo chuckle, he didn't chuckle for long when I leaned over and puked because of how hot it was. Leo then dragged me away from the box i had just contaminated with chocolate chip pancakes, half a kitkat and tears
"Apology accepted" the God replied getting up from his workstation and making his way to the remains of the car we'd fallen here in "It's good to see you've awoken, Hypnos has had quite the influence on you lately"
"Is that another joke?" i whispered to Leo
"This is no joke, did no one inform you all... of course not lockdown yeah. I just would have thought that after Zeus reinstalled the barrier they would've brought back communications"
